hi If you have pulled your fabric to tight it will bubble. For knits or stretch type fabrics use No Show Polymesh(nylyon). I use No Show Fusible Polymesh for the shirt. I iron it on the back (wrong side) of the shirt. This will stop it from stretching. Bring it right side out. The fusible is put where my design is going to be on the right side. I use No Show Cutaway Polymesh in the hoop. The brand I have is Sew Stable. You can use the loopless method if you don't want to hoop. Pin, baste, spray , glue, or sticky. B.

I love to embroider the "old fashioned way" by hand instead of by machine. Actually my machine is old fashioned too and only does limited embroidery. I am trying to find a celestial or metaphysical set of transfers that can be put on velvet so they can't be iron on transfers, but after searching for over 18 months and being artistically challenged myself (so I can't draw them) I have been unable to find anything. Does someone have a suggestion as to where they can be found? This is to be a centerpiece for a comforter so it needs to be a fairly large design.

We're remodeling our next home now and since the Laundry Room is right off the kitchen we planned storage there for dog stuff. My lab loves her crate and that's where we'll put it. I find it handy to be able to out her in the laundry room and close the door if I'm mopping the floor or we have contractors in the house. We just ordered a nice dog bed that will go somewhere in the family room for her daytime naps.

With embroidery hoops, you can wrap the inner hoop so it has more grip. Some people use thumbtacks, I use a stapler to attach the fabric and any backing. My favorite is Au ver A Soie twisted silk on a smooth weave fabric - cotton or linen are nice. While it can be a little fiddling, the sheen is lovely and the color choices are great. With flat, untwisted silk, the sheen is even nicer, but untwisted silk can be a nightmare to work with!
