In that case here are a few more pictures of the interior. I so enjoy seeing the grand cathedrals of Europe when I'm there, that I'm surprised that it took as long as it did to see this one that just a couple of hours away. We went to DC to see a cousin who was singing with a Bulgarian Folk Music Trio and the place the cousin was just a few blocks from the Cathedral. The cathedral seems a pretty faithful homage to classical gothic architecture, but here and there are whimsical touches showing its more recent completion date. For instance this stained glass depicts space exploration, and the dot in the center of the window is actually a tiny moon rock. The fact that it is so recent makes some of the craftsmanship all the more impressive (at least to me) And a couple of outside shots: Apparently one gargolye is shaped like the title-creature from the movie Alien, another carving is shaped like Darth Vader's head.

I found my first Violettos at a hardware store. For two years they had an amazing seed rack with different varieties of veggies not usually grown around here and some from Italy. Then they stopped. That's when I ordered a catalog online and from then on purchased from there. You know that they turned bright green when cooked right? Aren't Rattlesnake beans also mottled purple? I'm curious now. I wonder if all this time I thought I had planted yellow wax beans that crossed with the purple, when I bought Rattlesnakes beans instead.
