Comments (7)Hi Everyone! Thanks so much for taking the time to post your pictures! As both us Jodi's feel, it will help many to understand the process better. :-) 'Size does matter!' ;-) A little more info about the one I posted . Al, your right about the easy handling. I'm mixing in small batches right now, so it's perfect! Next season, I want screens like yours! So thank you for posting the 'blue prints' for hubby. ;-) This one will be easy for my son too. He's anxious to make his own mixes! Which he should, he has tons of plants and cactus and succulents! Mine is 13" long, 9 wide, and about 5" deep. Not alot of room for it to slosh out. ;-) lol.. I was going to order bonsai screens , but the plants went crazy leafing out! I'm going to see about getting a flat in the next day or so for the 1/4" bark. And for now, I have a huge chunk of 1/2" i'm just using as is, for the 5-1-1 mix. For the 1/16", a kitchen strainer, but I may take insect screen and see about molding it to the inside of the new colander. It would be easier to hold. I have all the sizes of wire, but hubby doesn't have time to make the frames like Al uses, and it would take me a month to find the tools! Hubby let the shed get a little messy. ;-) So, for now, it's find simple ways. :-) JoJo...See MoreTwo clematis to switch places
Comments (7)Thank you for answering me! Charlotte, I was impatient and after seeing only the reply from Buyorsell888 I decided to give it a try. I started with the one that was two clems in one hole , planted only three weeks ago at the base of the house. Dig it out, separated the roots: what I found ( I put this here for others searching the forum, maybe it's not of interest, but anyway): One of the two mixed in the same galon pot, and initially planted together, was strong, with 4 vines and good roots. One was weak, one stem that I also broke, and a horrible tangle of pink worms in between all her roots. No wonder it didn't grow.... I don't know if they were earth worms or something else, they were all very squirmy when I removed them. Gross! I decided I woun't get too sentimentally attached to this clems, and just planted them again. Not at the base of the house, where I also found that the depth of the earth was very shallow. I started but didn't have the heart to go on and dig Pink Fantasy out. She's 3 month in the ground, 5 foot tall, lots of vines and now quite a few buds. She seemed too established to disturb, I just put some manure in the hole I dig around her....When I started digging, I encountered some of her roots far away from the centre point... so she stays where she is, I can't muster enough courage to move her now... maybe next year. But after reading the reply above, I don't know if I want to kill her just because I don't like her color too much, where she is... So frustrating, I've never done gardening before, and now that I started, I picked up on the most difficult plants: clematis and roses.....maybe I should have stayed with some cheerful annuals and that's it......See MoreI found a light fixture I want - but what light bulb?
Comments (6)thx for the info idie! where do you buy them? I haven't been to HD yet to see if they carry them. It's good to know they will last a long time. It wouldn't be easy for me to get up there and change one. And I'm hoping they aren't too tight around the globe - that would cause problems for my fingers getting a grip on them. The fixture won't be used much (if I can get the electrician to put it on a different switch from the over the sink fixture). I'll seldom need it but there's a bulb on the ceiling now (next to the skylight) and my tub (I also don't plan to use it except to soak my feet) is to one side of it and the shower to the other (on opposite sides of a 13' wide room). There is no light on the shower side. the over the sink lights are mostly blocked from the shower by the shower wall dividing them. I doubt I'll ever take a shower after dark and need it - but you just never know. i could also go on a wild cleaning spree and need light for that (ok, that ain't happening!). The skylight gives more than enough light for the whole room during the day (and a skinny frosted window). I figured if I'm getting a fixture for where the bulb 'lives' I might as well get one that covers those 2 less lit areas. At night I don't need more than the vanity lights. Will probably make do w/a night light. here's the bulb - you can see part of the wall dividing the shower and the darker area to the right of it is the shower. It's fine during the day tho. the vanity lights showing are being replaced....See Morebacksplash ..light switch kitchen entrance
Comments (11)@ Precision Remodeling and Construction I noticed one of the junction boxes (plug) is slanted.. I guess when brought forward after backsplash... it can be adjusted? Do you know how the clear played over backsplash look does it hide the wiring?...See Morenelsmama
