You are probably about a month away. There is certainly nothing in that forecast that says they should come in.

Mad is right. It's way to soon to put them away for the winter. They need to be completely dormant before you put them in winter protection. I used to do mine Thanksgiving weekend. Lately I've been doing it about the second weekend in December.

No, go by the weather and the plant dormancy. Many of my roses never drop their leaves. So you can't go by that. The leaves may turn brown or get shriveled and/or brittle when they've gone dormant but that can take a while. You'll be able to tell when they've gone dormant. All growth will stop and they'll start to look quite lackluster. Even newer leaves will begin to look weak and lifeless.

You have to remember that the object of winter protection is not to keep them from going dormant but to keep them dormant all winter and into the early spring when the ups and downs of the temperatures (freeze/thaw cycles) can make them come out of dormancy too soon. Those false starts can kill a rose. The rose uses the stored energy in the canes from the last season to start out with in the spring. There is only so much of that energy available. If the rose goes through several false starts and puts out leaves each time only to have them killed off by late frosts it can run out of energy and die before real spring comes. That's also why I do not prune at all in the fall. I want as much of the energy stored in those canes as I can get. Pruning off live green cane in the fall limits that availability come spring.

Those freeze/thaw cycles are at their worst usually in the early spring. So don't be tempted to take them out of that winter protection too soon. I normally pull mine out around the first week of April here but that is dependent on the weather. I want night time lows to be steadily remaining above freezing before I even think about pulling them out.
