I love my Sakroots wallet - different color/pattern but same layout. Space for 6 cards on each side of the zip change compartment, full width pocket on each side behind the card slots and space for bills or receipts or whatever on either side of the change compartment in front of the card slots. I have a large phone now but when I had a slightly smaller one I could slip my phone inside, too and carry just my wallet for quick trips. Without the case the large phone fits.

My last two wallets have been zip around. They basically have double of everything, card slots, bill slot and a coin zippered area in the middle.

My usual wallet is by Michael Kors, it's a travel wallet that holds a TON of stuff. Mine is not a wristlet as this one is shown, but it's virtually the same. It is big enough to hold everything, tons of cards, my checkbook, receipts, cash, change, stamps-I call it my office in my purse. I can even fit my phone in it. I have a smaller Coach cell phone wristlet that I take when I'm going to be out in the field or I am going someplace I don't want to take a full purse. Just slip a couple of cards, my license, phone and a spare key and I'm good to go. It fits in my jeans front pocket well.

My wallet is also zip around, and I got it at Barney's many years ago. It's held up perfectly well. It has a coin pocket with a snap cover and a divided area for folding money, which is handy for when I want to separate US currency from foreign. The outside is faux alligator patent leather.

BTW, I will never buy a man's wallet because they are not made as well as the women's wallets and generally do not have pockets for coins, which I consider necessary. I never put a wallet in my pockets either - it goes into my shoulder bag.

I like a big, zip around wallet. Can be a clutch in a pinch. Mine is LV. Wallets get a lot of wear and I don't like it when they get ratty. My prior LV wallet I carried 17 years. One of my DD uses it now.

I have always liked the large foldover snap with coin pouch style. I also like to be able to easily show my drivers license without takin it out.

My current one is a Patricia Nash and I love it. Typically I get a new wallet every five years or so.

Many years ago my SIL gave me an eel skin French clutch style wallet that I LOVED, so that's what I bought again when I replaced it. It has many cc slots, separate clasped pocket for change and receipts, bill slots, pen holder, etc. I think the one I currently use was bought here... check out #320221, #35131, #320211, etc.

Lodis. The RFID blocking feature is a must these days. Not Chinese made, like even Coach is these days. Made in the USA, California specifically, and very good quality. Scads of variants. I like the small crossbody wallet purse that can be taken out of a larger tote and worn close to your body for travel. Or the classic Audrey if you want something smaller.

DLM2000 - is the Sakroot wallet made of vinyl-like material or cloth? I'm looking for something lightweight.

I have carried the full-sized Coach wallets for years and years, but I'm over them now.

I'm old-school and like traditional designs, so I've been very pleased with the Italian-made classic leather wallets from Macy's. I got a small one for myself and a larger one for my mom. I like the bright colors so I can more easily find it inside my big purse.

I thought I was going to be cute and bought this super slim wallet, about the thickness of a check book cover...I was going to downsize my wallet and even bought a SMALL purse to use with it...well I started putting just a few cards in the slots and there was NO way this wallet was going to work. It probably would work if you carried your license and one card...even though one side was all card slots. I was so disappointed.

How much do people keep in their wallets these days?

littlebug my Sakroots wallet is a coated fabric - like vinyl - and I think all their wallets are like that although some of their purses/backpacks are uncoated. Doubt it falls into the lightweight category but of course depends mostly on what you carry.

Thanks for sharing your wallets. It seems like most of you favor the zippered style and you've given me lots of different ones to consider. Now the hard part-deciding!

I use the zip-around style too. My last one was a Lodis and it lasted for so many years. Lodis is a great brand, but when I went to replace it, they didn’t have exactly what I wanted. I now have a Tumi zip-around. It is very well made, good features and has a low-key look, which I like.

This probably isn’t what you are looking for, but I have a slim wallet from Brahmin I love. It’s called a travel wallet, and I bought it years ago for that purpose. I now carry it all the time because I decided to downsize what I carry around in a small crossbody bag most of the time. I only use a couple of credit cards most of the time, and need only my license, insurance cards and a couple of others, so it works for me. It’s a flat envelope style with a zip coin purse in the outside.

I had an ancient Lodis before this and it was great too.

I bought a slim inexpensive wallet recently. I bought it at a discount store. Like a few others have mentioned I find I am downsizing and de-cluttering what is in my wallet. So much is on my phone now. I frequently use my phone's wallet app to pay by credit card, and my state allows my insurance card to be on my phone. Little bits of paper with info on them are no longer needed; again it's all on my phone. I used to put grocery coupons in my wallet, but each grocery store now has an app where you can get the coupons, so those are on my phone too. Target and other big box stores do too. So my slim wallet has one credit card, driver's license, and a bit of cash and coins.

P.S. when I am dressing up, and using my dressy handbag, I do have a fancy Kate Spade wallet, but it's too nice to be knocked around for every day.

My current one, which I like much. Surprisingly compact and light, but accommodates a lot. ID protection cover too. Don’t have to take out my driver’s license. Bought it on clearance at TJ Maxx for $20.

I have a beautiful red Michael Kors (a Jet Set that is no longer available, it snaps instead of zips around) that I love, but when I travel I use a TUMI because it has two zippered coin pockets, and it fits inside the slip pocket of my Longchamp bag. Since I used it in May to Paris and Venice, I've not switched back to my Kors, yet. I just returned from Sicily and I've really adapted to the TUMI. It doesn't have enough card slots, but I carry a very flat RFID credit card wallet in the inside zip of my purse -- for the occasionally used department store credit cards and my loyalty cards for stores. Now-- I can't find the TUMI either! I bought it in April and it's no longer on the site! Hmm...

I just order this wallet from Macys as recommended by Carolb. It's only $15. so I figured why not. I've never had a wallet this size, I've always had the standard rectangle size/shape.

I had actually put in my Macys cart last week but never ordered it...I ended up going in to the store this weekend and was able to see the wallet but in the other colors it comes in, in real life and was really impressed. When I went to go ahead and place order, that discounted color wouldn't pop up. I was getting ready to order it in black instead tonight and somehow that gold/silver one popped up in my cart...so I hit order before it disappeared LOL. Really excited to try it out.
