Looking for comfortable reading chair
Comments (6)wigardener, I also have a small office space where I have a reading chair. The chair I ended up with is the one that clashes with the flooring in our new house so I didn't want it anyplace else. It's also not really a style I would use elsewhere in my house. I do love how functional it is however for my reading space. It's a small LazyBoy recliner. It doesn't tilt back much so I can have it close to the wall. I love footstools but there's really no space so the footrest on the recliner solves that problem also. I just took a pic for you because your room description reminded me so much of mine. It's not a decorator room. It has my bears, my computer, small tv, my books (in a bookcase DH made for me), reading chair and lamp, complete with my Jeff Gordon blanket for warmth. It's MY little haven, and I just put stuff in here that I like. I've been curled up in the recliner all afternoon with a book and the blanket. The chair is perfect for me. Just wish it was a different color...lol....See MoreI’m looking for a nice looking fabric office chair
Comments (1)A good office furniture company will have a lot of choices and samples you can try. They will have a range to accommodate petite or tall or wide, whatever. Just like good upholstered furniture they will also have hundreds of fabric swatches. Expect to pay $350+ (++ for many !) The chair will be comfortable and last forever with a good warranty, often life-time on the mechanical parts and cylinder....See More"Office" versus "gaming" chair for home office
Comments (8)I'm not going to comment on the how the color works. But as someone who has recently been shopping for a new computer/desk chair myself, I hope this is one you can try out in person to first make sure it's comfortable for hours of sitting, that it supports your back properly, and that it has a decent range of adjustments. I'm in the process of returning a chair to a local store, that is great to sit in but has weird, uncomfortable arm rests that can't be adjusted to a comfortable position for mouse and keyboard use....See MoreNeed help finding a dining chair version of this office chair
Comments (3)That is patterned after - or may actually be - the Knoll Saarinen Executive Chair. Justifiably famous quintessential MCM chair. The wheels are on the desk chair version, but it also comes without wheels. You can upholster it any way you want, or choose one of the standard Knoll colors in leather, flat weave, boucle, or velvet. I saw them recently in a soft yellow the color of banana cream pie - to die for. These chairs will cost you a lot to purchase, and to upholster if you don’t want one of the Knoll fabrics, but you didn’t mention budget. The legs come in either metal or wood. For a kitchen dining table I prefer metal legs. For a dining room dining table I prefer wood legs. Here are links to them at Design Within Reach. There are likely cheaper knockoffs, but at least now you know the name to search for. https://www.dwr.com/workspace-chairs/saarinen-executive-side-chair-with-metal-legs/7214.html?lang=en_US#lang=en_US&q=Knoll+dining+chair&pn=2&start=2 https://www.dwr.com/dining-chairs-and-stools/saarinen-executive-side-chair-with-wood-legs/2260.html?lang=en_US#lang=en_US&q=Knoll+dining+chair&pn=2&start=3 In Knoll Swan Velvet: There’s also a version with arms:...See MoreHelen
