Dining Room Makeover :)
Comments (15)Ha ha - If you find any equivalent designs for less, let me know. I've been looking for awhile and the only ones I like as well are even pricier. You could cheap out on the table for awhile because the chairs are now on sale so four chairs would run a bit more than $2400. You wouldn't need the table to make much of a statement anyway so a simple small base and top would be relatively inexpensive. Not sure which of the chairs you like but this table is on sale for $1046 and doesn't read heavy. It matches a chair that is similar to the one you posted....See MoreDining Room Makeover Ideas

Comments (7)I did a mood board with bringing in blues and creams, which look great with green and brighten up the room. I tried to go for a mix of casual and traditional, which I think fits in best with the style of your home and furniture. Faux yucca for a nice sculptural aspect (to replace your other arrangement) green and blue fabric for the chairs, round mirror for right hand wall, either a casual table runner or round woven mat for tabletop, colorful glass bowl, rug. I’d get rid of some of the red items — maybe keep just a couple for a collected, eclectic look. Even if you don’t like these elements, I just wanted to show an idea of doing a collage like this to see how things look together. You could do one more formal, etc. I do like cream colored linen drapes in here, but yours are lovely, too. If you keep them, yes, I’d get rid of the valence and just have the panels. Or, maybe there’s another room in the house you could use them? Next post (because of picture limit), I’ll show various green dining room looks. Some dramatic, some glam, some casual, etc....See MoreHelp me makeover my dining room!
Comments (15)Love the art. Here's what I'd do - add curtains. I like this pattern with your art... Paint your walls a soft creamy white - match the color in the background of the curtains. A soft gold or greyish green would also be nice. Move the two bookshelves to the back wall (where your art currently hangs). Move the buffet to the other wall and place an upholstered chair on each side of it. For a fixture, I think I'd do something like this - make sure you hang it the proper distance from the table (general rule of thumb is to 36 inches above your table or 72 inches off the floor. And then add something simple and green in the center of the table:...See Morexclusive
