I have not had dark painted trim, but I have had dark stained trim. It was awesome and was so much easier to maintain than white trim.

There is so much more to consider here than just how difficult it will be to keep the trim clean. For starters you say your kitchen will have clean white cabinets, black leather countertops and white backsplash. I would never paint trim in that space brown. Black trim or white trim only. You have posted several pictures but do not tell us what the photos are for. Are these representations of other selections for the house? Where will these materials go? I ask because to me, a black and white kitchen as you described is a very clean -possibly formal look, whereas the materials in the photos (especially the second and third photos) are much more casual and warm and would not flow well with the kitchen you described.

All the photos are just confusing with no explanation.Maybe start there with giving us some ideas of waht you are doing. I will say some of those choices are a bit dated .

Just commenting on dark trim: my parents are artists and when we moved into our apartment, my mother painted all the walls white and all the doors and trim a gloss black. That was over 35 years ago. and it's still painted like that. The only areas that have needed touch ups are the white walls. The trim did not need any more cleaning than standard white trim. However, we had hardwood floors. If you have carpet, that always kicks up more fiber and dust.

And white walls with black trim and doors looks fantastic.

I hope you think about the overall feel of the baths, as I can tell you from your selections, they will be dark. I also agree the selections (especially those in the last photo) do look dated. I recognize the fact that the area you live in has historic lava flows, but I just want you to realize that you will have a dark look overall even if there are windows in the room. I agree with Anna that black trim and white walls is classic, timeless and gorgeous. However, that look is not at all what you are describing you will be doing based on your photos and selections. You want there to be a flow (no pun intended ha) from room to room. Do you want the space to feel grounded, warm and do not mind it looking dark? Then your selections will work. If you are worried about it looking dark, then you probably will not be happy with the overall result. You can have a warm, earthy feel without going with all of the dark finishes. Also, if you do decided to go with the darker warmer tones I would suggest you use a soft, light cream or other warm colors for your kitchen instead of a stark white.

If high ceilings then dark could work. If low ceilings, white trim

I usually prefer white trim throughout.

yes what you have will flow, but I still think the bathrooms will look dark. Especially the third set of selections from the left. That is not a problem if you are ok with that, but they will be dark. The lighter flooring in the kitchen and 9' ceilings will help with the other rooms if there is sufficient natural light coming into the space. Consider eliminating the tile for the backsplash in the bathroom.
