The 'Seem to Keep Passing them By's - should I?
Comments (10)The old Edmonds catalogs described 'Granada' as having ". . . set new standards for powdery mildew." They were correct. AWESOME. The only thing we ever grew that matched Granada for mildew was 'Touch of Class' -- and that was when we sprayed, religiously. So I would say to anyone for whom powdery mildew was a common problem that those two roses were best not planted. If mildew is not a problem for you -- the blooms are lovely. ====== Sun Flare is so like Sunsprite that no casual glance could see the difference. ===== St. Patrick is a beauty, IF you have some heat. In a cool, coastal climate, it produces neither the green tinge, nor the exhibition form. ========= Pascali is a lovely rose in SoCal, tho no longer fashionable. The blooms are on the small side for present fashions. Jeri...See Morewrong trees planted....should I keep them?
Comments (2)FWIW, IF the Chinese Pistache are the "Keith Davey" selection, I would probable keep them in your local. Otherwise get what you paid for. Was this a "landscaper"? Allot of people come here with problems due to improper planting, and/or rootbound container trees. Were your trees planted from containers (probable so considering it mid-summer in Texas. If so there is almost certainly root problems that need to be addressed for longer term survival. Arktrees...See MoreGrandchildren's gifts...should I still keep sending them?
Comments (24)I take pictures of anything i send, if its a card, what i write in it, and envelope, all gifts in a display, then wrapped, and boxed, and label at Fed X , delivery confirmation. at Xmas i had my husband take a pic of xmas sacks whhhrre he left them at their door, or inside shed. this way ill print and put in a envelope for future proof we sent to each one. my son is following his partners lead (3rd party action towards us and he follows) they are not married and most likely convinced him its better to not due to tax benefits. that is not my concern thats his life but canceling his sister first, then attacking my husband and ending with me is just so painful. but God allows what he allows for his reasons. God didnt do this, satan is using him as a toool and its Gods hand that will bring him back. we will welcome ooen arms to him, her and our grandbabies. trusting Gods love and his ways can be a challenge but one God has helped me thru. life with my daughter and her family and my husband is full but it took time to grt here. i speak to all families that are divided , trust God to help you. seek his word. Exodus 14:14, Romans 8:28, jeremiah 29:11 its not a magic bullet, But God will not forsake you. he may not fix things but He will love you and strengtgen you....See Moreshould I change the pulls? handles
Comments (39)With your backsplash, I would look at Taj Mahal quartzite. It is harder and imo more durable than quartz. Quartz has downsides and I prefer qranite or quartzite. Go look at actual slabs. You will probably need 2 slabs. Take a cabinet door with you plus any leftover backsplash if you have it. If you choose quartz, avoid wide veins. To hard to make look right at seams. Get that decision made first. Then lighting. Your countertop will infirm Metal on fixture decision....See MoreCaroline
