Bullet-Proof Rose Propagation - NOID Rose Picture Obtained
Comments (6)Hoovb, I think you're exactly right! I went to Bing and found a photo of an infected rose that looks exactly like the one I took cuttings from. It had more of the pink on it the second day than the first, and that's probably an indication that it was spreading on the blooms. This isn't a systemic infection, is it? Would I be propagating infected plants if I root the pieces I cut?...See MoreJackson and Perkins new roses La Park
Comments (11)Kristine, I would like to see photos of both free standing, mature bushs of La Park, and more shots of flowers in various stages of bloom, and having been grown in different zones, especially mine, before I get onboard with La Park. Being a sucker for a new rose, especially a fragrant one, which La Park is reported to be, makes me vulnerable to making impulsive decisions on such roses. Truly, I would say, 2/3 of my decisions on purchasing new introductions turned out to be disappointing. I will wait a while on La Park to see it rises to the top of beloved roses. Comments (2)I have three 'La Park' roses that have been in the ground for 2 years. I would say it has average disease resistance in my garden. The blooms are really pretty! The bush stays quite small and mannerly (barely 3x3). It blooms in flushes all season long....See MoreCan anyone tell me what's wrong with my roses from this picture?
Comments (15)I haven't seen any answers on what could be the actual problem caused on your leaves.... someone said you can't grow the roses in the house..... but from what I saw it looks like she brought the leaves in, laid the leaves on the counter to take a better picture. I have done that myself because sometimes the outdoor lighting or the wind does not cooperate with taking pictures.... The leaves that you have on the right look to me like they might be webbing on the bottom.... forgive me if I am wrong about that but for seem reason I can not get the picture to blow up on the screen.... can you get a better close of the picture..... or can you tell if there is a webbing that is causing the lighter if it is it could be spider mites. I am not very good at being able to tell the coloring and the nutrient problems. Straw is the BEST in being able to identify those kind of problems. Good luck with your roses.... I know it can be very frustrating when you don't know the problem and then when you are getting info that does not seem to be helping.........See MoreBenT (NorCal 9B Sunset 14)
