Multi colored garden pics: Alliums, 1 Shasta Daisy and leaves from the ornamental grass. My kitchen/livingroom now smells like spring time after they've mowed the wild onions down. A pop-up concert in Burnaby BC yesterday. There were two hours of lovely free music with wonderful singers and their excellent accompanying musicians. Today's concert will also be interesting with violinists and tuba players. Looking forward to it. I am really enjoying these events that are all over Tri-Cities and Metro Vancouver. For that reason I will be sad to see summer end.

The monarchs are on their way home for winter migration...when we were in Cape Cod in September a few years back, we saw so many flying by...quite a sight!

I wanted to glue a jigsaw puzzle together, but I didn’t want to glue one of my nice ones. So I got a 100 piece puzzle from the dollar store and glued it last night. It was fun to do, but I have no idea what to do with it now.

EDITED to add....I looked up on youtube how to do it. Worked on waxed paper using regular white glue (which apparently works as well as puzzle glue or mod podge).

Socks, my dog's groomer must have 30 glued puzzles displayed in her shop! All of different dog breeds, of course. :) I don't know if she did them or if others did them and gave them to her. I just like seeing them.

I once glued a jigsaw together and some of the glue seeped out. So, being the dummy I am, I licked it up. Now, you cannot tell if I am talking with a straight face or am smirking behind that puzzle.

Maire-cate, I've never seen pitchers in an arrangement before. Very dramatic and the colors and veining are fab!

Thanks Raven and Annie - I wasn't sure how to arrange them. Can you believe they were at my local Shop Rite supermarket. What's even odder is that it's one of the smaller stores and they were not expensive - maybe $11 or so. I was surprised to see them and even happier when they lasted nearly 2 weeks. So often tubular flowers like that get all mushy at the bottom and you have to keep cutting the stems.

On my next visit the flower lady was in and I asked her about them. She said it was the first time she had ever seen them in her order book so she thought she'd give them a try.
