I was playing around with the image in MSpaint, and managed to blow it up some. I just saved the image to my desktop. Then I opened up MSPaint and opened the image. Then I clicked on "Image" on the top toolbar. Scrolled down to "stretch/skew" Then I enlarged it by about 200%. I think if you do that, and print it out, you can use that to make a pattern for yourself. I would just print it out in black and white to save ink, then use coloured paper to make your own. Here is the image (hope I don't get into trouble for telling you how to cheat.... ) :)

Are you thinking more of a raised decorative idea to give some depth to the area? What about maple molding - like a floor, door or crown molding down the sides. I think what roarah is talking about is veneer sheets that go onto the sides of cabinets as opposed to what you are talking about which is wanting something decorative - I think. Maybe post a pic? If you're DIY you could also make your own to maybe tie in with the design of your cabinets.

It is possible that this is custom. The back looks like it could be from the headboard of a small child's bed or the top of an old dresser/mirror. Hooks are for hats and the scrolls can be bought from many resources. The trim around the top has definitely been added...there is a gap and it doesn't meet the back quite right. Are you into building something? I like it too and some imagination along with a reuse center would probably get what is needed to create the same.

I was surprised to find that HD has onyx tiles, but they are 12"x12", and that might not be the size you want. However, for about $21, you can buy a 7" diameter stone cutting blade (for your circular saw, if you have one), and cut it down to size yourself. I have done this myself with good results, but it requires two people, since one person has to supply water to the blade while cutting. Home Depot does not have the best prices for these blades - I bought mine at a local stone yard.
