Help needed for weights to PPM calculation
Comments (10)how about breaking down the composition of each compound for us. I mean, if you want someone to do the simple math, at least give us the chemical breakdown of each component. For example, 0.82grams in one liter is 820 ppm of calcium nitrate. so what percentage of cal nite is calcium and what percentage is nitrogen? multiply 820 times each percentage and you'll have the concentration of that molecule from that compound....See MoreNeed Help in Calculation, Please
Comments (19)Hmmm....very interesting. My ready-to-use Round Up says 1% on the spray container. My lawn guy and I checked out all of my products on Friday, and when he saw the ready-to-use Round Up was only 1%, that's when he told me I needed to purchase the concentrated variety and mix it with water to achieve the 2% solution. He was very specific. I like the idea of putting the Bermuda tendrils in a pot of solution and leaving them...but I have too many, so that's not feasible. I think Bermuda is so difficult to kill because it is a woody plant (feel the stem), the roots are exceptionally deep and cannot be pulled up, and the grass spreads by its roots as well as by seed, so if not totally killed, it'll continue to spread across the lawn. Fortunately, it's in a small patch of my lawn, but there are many tendrils in that small area. So, I'll attack aggressively with the 2% solution...and I may well have to repeat applications. My lawn guy told me to leave it un-cut for 3-4 weeks, applying additional killer, to ensure the Bermuda takes the poison down to its roots and kills the roots. Thank you all for your help....See MoreNeed help calculating lot dimensions
Comments (3)Well, I was hoping to be able to put a small 2 level home above a 2 car garage. This is an infill lot in an urban area close to downtown. I only want a small 1300 - 1400 sq ft house so I am limited in the available lots. I don't want a condo or a one of the larger townhomes in the area. Most older houses in the area are being torn down for new builds. But since the lots are going for $150K to $200K, it doesn't make financial sense to put such a small house on these lots, nevermind the fact i'm never cutting grass again. I was hoping this lot would work....See MoreNeed help calculating tile for shower
Comments (2)Agree with Sophie. if you are doing a DIY then you will need to post measurements of the space. Sketch it out. measure every wall. You will also need the quantity for the shower floor in sheets = per piece. You also need the Linear Feet for the Trim around the shower. To figure out square footage for lets say a 3' x 3' wall....translate in inches = 36"x36" = 1296" then divide by 144 = 9 SF....after that you will have to add square footage for cutting and waste about 10-15% more from the number you go.t Then you would need to add 10-15% to the 9SF you got. Most vendors will sell tile by the full box (unless you order bullnose or sheets then you order by the pc/sheet) so order up to be in full boxes....Don't forget the ceiling, we usually tile that as well....See MoreLaura
