Need furniture recommendations!

Just received new couch and now need new furniture (coffee table, entertainment center, side table). Need help on deciding color/style. Prefer wood as we have young kids, would like to create a cozy but clean feel. Couches are light gray, walls are gray/blue. Carpet doesn’t match, will likely upgrade to hardwood in the future

first, if you can return the love seat and either get another full couch or a couple chairs it would be better.

would you like your accent color to be blue, or variations on gray and white?

Beautiful renderings by Grover. I particularly love the first/top one. Love how the art and ottoman work together + the darker colors provide contrast to your sofa, carpet, etc.; also love the shape and lines on that ottoman, very sleek + rectangular or square shape on ottoman balances with round lines on sofa. Grover's curtain choices + arrangement is wonderful, also. Also, great advice and resources from Grover re: art - and allowing the art to inform your other décor choices. Go with a piece of art that you love. As far as the tv wall, another option could be bringing in a plant or two. And I don't know if you have wiring for a chandelier, but if not, and if you would like to have one - you could use a swag chandelier, dimmable is always good.

Poolside/patio furniture-teak, aluminum, or any other recommendations?

Maybe don’t try to match everything. The pool area could have some cool loungers in a color maybe instead of all teak or wicker. I have about 2000 sq ft of deck around my house and not all my furniture matches but it works. I have to admit when we did the deck we really had no money for furniture so we bout the cheapy powder coated aluminum stuff 2 sets of coffee table, 2 chairs and a loveseat to fill our one huge deck area that stuff in now 12 yrs old I made new covers for the cushions out of some on sale outdoor fabric about 8 yrs ago and the stuff is still going strong. I store the cushions in a outdoor storage shed piece but the frames sit out all winter still look great. Friends bough really expensive wicker and the same time and they have already replaced it so who knows.

Agree Sharon - I do have a very reasonably priced, highly skilled cabinet maker that I have used several times before. I guess I just have so much on my plate these days that it seems simpler to just buy ready made. But if I can’t find anything I’m satisfied with I will definitely talk to him. Thanks!

Is it possible to return sofa and love seat? Neither works in the space and the color is off. Bring in the color of the wood floor…don’t stick with grays. Instead of love seat, choose a sectional with a right facing chaise running along the interior wall.

Agree with returning the loveseat for another full size sofa. If and when you get hardwood floors in the room, if they will be the same color as the existing hardwood, the gray theme doesn’t really work with the warm color of the floor.

A floating media console below a wall-mounted flat screen is a nice clean look. It would also offer at least the potential for additional hidden storage space within the console for things other than entertainment equipment. I have a young daughter and know all too well about the struggle to maintain some sense of order amongst the constant deluge of toys, clothes, etc. Hidden storage can help.
