Comments (26)Glad you got Dancing Queen, and there is nothing green about it. I've got 3, all in full sun. They are a very bright yellow. They positively glow at night. I second Queen of the Sea. Its big and its beautiful. Hallson's is the best. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy your new babies....See MoreTwo hosta worth considering: Great Arrival & Majesty
Comments (10)NHL, the forum is really slow in the early winter/holiday/late fall months. It will pick up with the alphabet. The last couple of years, Paul has done hosta leaf bingo after the first of the year. The growers put out their new catalogs right after the first of the year. Then everyone starts planning their buy list and comparing notes. Then us potheads start getting pips in late March and posting photos. About then, we'll get the snow birds back. Then we will whine about the late freezes. Then, a little later, we'll get a bunch of newbies and we get to play the ID game for a couple of months. There are always HVX/disease/bug questions in the early summer, too. It's cyclical, but pretty much the same from year to year. Give it time, it will pick up. Now's a good time to post questions, as the questions stay on page 1 for a long time and the old timers and knowledgeable growers who check in can answer them. bk...See MoreTouch Faucet Help - Also want to consider a Pot Filler
Comments (1)I've seen the Kohler Sensate plumbed at a local store and liked it. The spray is aimed into a blade which is nice, and the magnetic lock holding the spray head to the faucet and the swivel joint were nice too. The sensor is at the top of the arc though, so might be far to reach. Other things to consider might be a toe kick step stool, and I know I've seen people in the Kitchens forum who have mounted faucets at the side of their sink rather than the back....See MoreWould this be considered a bareroot rose, or potted rose?
Comments (16)Sorry it took so long to get back. I found a large box of roses at the front door. They were own root bare root Took all day to get them planted. Just wanted to say make sure you plant your graft at least 4 inches under ground. Can be a bit of a trick sometimes. But you can plant it at an angle so that the branches are pointed up. Then just point end ends of the roots down. As others have said trim off the brown tips before planting. Even if your rose ends up under ground it will be fine as it will not survive winter if the graft is not buried. Mine that came today had a lot of damage to the canes that had to be trimmed off. So by the time they were planted some only stuck out of the ground a inch. With some of the canes (branches) totally buried. Best wishes for a happy rose season....See Morelindalana 5b Chicago
