Comments (6)Here is my two cents if you don’t mind🙂. First, it is definitely a Parodia not an Echinopsis. Now which species I’m just not 100%. At first glance I thought P. erubescens, but then taking a closer look. No it’s not erubescens because the radial spines on that cactus generally look softer. Your Parodia’s radial spines look stiffer. Next Parodia that came to mind was the same as Bill P. mammulosa. I have a mammulosa, but I believe he is the subspecies submammulosa. He hasn’t been watered since Oct. 2020 so the little guy is dehydrated. Which makes him looks spinier. Idk if I’m completely sold on your cactus bring mammulosa, but mammulosa is the most common Parodia and can really vary in the looks department.
