Guess who I am!

Matt Barnett

So I ran into a plant I have never seen before in Florida, or seen period, growing under a bridge in a nature preserve. It reminded me of a succulent of some sort until I looked at it more closely and found that it is hollow. The newest stalks are light green and somewhat flexible, and mature to a dark green with a tenancy to snap. It seems to be some sort of escaped houseplant, and it found a niche habitat that it likes under the bridge, because it is so thick on the ground I had a hard time photographing single stems. Let the games begin!
