I am so happy-guess what I found today!
Comments (5)Oh I know-wow can it eat! This morning when I came downstairs I walked over and looked at him-there is little frass all over and the little leaf was gone! There is something I always wanted to do so I touched him and that litle osmeterium came out-that is so funny looking! I won't do it anymore but, I just had to see it for myself. Lasy year I made little containers-I cut the lids and put netting on them with glue. It is alot easier to bring one of them with you when you go looking for cats and eggs. It's small enough so I could fit it in my purse or backpack too. I have the egg in there all by itself. Comments (8)At this time of the year I will let my feeders go 4 to 5 days-especially since I do not even have any birds yet. As long as it is in the 50 to 60+ degree daytime temperature range that is very safe. Some people go longer than that-but I never do. I must say that in July and August when we are in the 90 degree range I change my feeders daily. I do not have many shady places for my feeders so it is a must for me to change daily. I will have a total of seven feeders up in late may on to the end of the season, because I have so many birds feeding and most are very territorial. Believe me it is a chore to change 7 feeders daily-but well worth it as my feeders are so popular. If you have just a couple of favorite hummingbird plants(butterfly bush or quince or trumpet vine) you are very much more likely to have hummers. If you have some good plants for them they WILL find your feeders. May you have a yardfull this year! Vicki...See MoreGuess I am not the only one
Comments (6)Hi gals! Oh, that flu bug is bad. Surprised you even feel like painting! Hope it doesn't hang on too long. I saw the gingers. Very cute. I asked lots of questions over on the gallery--I'll check back for answers later. Anj, my favorite for the crockpot is just a chuck roast with a can of mushroom soup over it--then can make mashed potatoes and the meat and gravy is already done. Also, like to just do the roast with some seasoning, then shred it up for burritos or tacos. Love easy things, leaves more painting time. Luvs...See MoreGuess who I am? part 1
