Tubs with built-in headrest or Wasauna brand bath tub?
Comments (3)seattlemamadrama ~Well my Wasauna story ended badly. The first tub was drained the wrong way for me. I shipped it back at their expense and received my replacement last week. The crate was in horrible condition, held together by plastic wrap about 2 times around it. The person who sent it to me must have received my tub and we just traded. I sent him one in perfect condition never removed from the crate. The tub he sent me was dirty, removed from the crate and damaged with scratches. I refused the delivery and call Alex for a refund. He tried to give me 300.00 off and get a new one sent to me but I just took my refund. I have not seen the credit on my card as yet, it has been 4 days. I would say stay away from them. I am in the process of looking for something else now. Good luck to you! Mariofo...See MoreAh! Tubs! Too many choices! Heated tub shell? MTI Andrea, anyone?
Comments (8)> We would love a tub that allowed us to face the same direction as well as each other, but in terms of freestanding tubs, that just doesn't really seem to be an option. Now this is more like it: It's freestanding (though I don't care for this particular surround) and the backrest is what I find the ideal shape for two people side by side, with good back and shoulder support for both. Most tubs with this shape are like 5 feet wide which is not what I want; this one is just wide enough for two. The taper at the other end helps preserve water without getting too crowded, but is still wide and sloped enough to lean against when you want to face opposite directions. Still, it's the side by side configuration I like best. Two-person tubs where you face each other look great in pictures and in the showroom. Then you use one in real life only to find you have to SCREAM AT EACH OTHER to be heard over the roar of the jets. Although air jets may be a bit quieter than the water jets I've used. I could do without the huge ledge at the end of this tub though - what's that all about? I too can't find a tub that gets everything right....See MoreMoen brantford handheld for tub too large
Comments (7)I did the same! They don't show it that way, but the head is just a screw-on head. The reason the head is so large is because it is a 4-function head. The Kingley is a single-function head. I decided I could live with a single-function in the tub and put the 4-function in the shower. Oh, and they don't tell you this, but if you are ordering a brushed nickel hand-held for the tub, the hose that goes inside the tub and pulls out is chrome, not brushed nickel. I doesn't really matter since it only shows when it is pulled out to use, but I thought something was wrong with mine until we got that straightened out....See MoreLarge gap between tub surround and tub - Caulk? tape? help??
Comments (8)Hm, I had been wondering if you'd taken the past surround *down* or just put the new surround over it. If you've *taken it down* and you didn't see any rot behind the sheetrock when you removed it, then I'd venture to say that you're safe. There was *no* black or otherwise unpleasant anything where the low point was? Checking downstairs will eliminate the other one possibility, which would be that the rot went straight down and didn't communicate upwards at all into anything you removed. Which would be odd, but I guess possible. Maybe you just had *really good* sealing. We don't....See MoreAna Kinra
