Don't let me kill this plant!! See photo...
Comments (3)It's a dwarf Schefflera. LIGHT: Bright indirect to some sun. Will survive in moderate light, but be unhappy and leggy. WATER: Let dry out between waterings (roughly when top couple inches of soil are dry). Don't let it stand in water. HUMIDITY: Average indoor humidity is fine. PESTS: Prone to spider mites, especially if in hot, dry air. Mealybugs and scale are also common. TEMPERATURE: Average indoor temps are fine (65-85F). Can survive significantly higher or lower temperatures for short periods, though cold shock will lead to dropped leaves. Keep out of cold drafts. SOIL: Use a general-purpose, quick-draining potting mix. Too heavy a mix or too frequent watering will lead to root rot. OTHER: With ideal care, will get very tall and old. Can be pruned back from time to time to promote bushiness or to keep it within a particular size. Here is a link that might be useful: (see also)...See MoreLet's see your favorite Ech. pics.

Comments (75)I have a few dwarf aloes due to space considerations. Mine are all under lights during the winter. Seattle light is very poor for succulents in the winter. I also tend to collect species rather than hybrids, but I have both. Seattle is a lousy place to buy aloes. Onward to the plants: Aloe 'Walmseys Blue' Aloe dichotoma, a tree aloe. Unkown Aloe hybrid? Aloe bellatula Aloe striata Aloe sp. Aloe juvenana Another unknown hybrid Aloe brevifolia Aloe sinkata...See MoreJeff (5b)
