Good grief that is just crazy if it was deleted!

I'm guessing that most of the posters and lurkers here are women. Boob information and stories are important to this audience. Houzz needs to understand this.

someone on another forum claimed her posts disappeared. she linked it to only being set to show up on that one forum. don't know if that's how it works or not. I haven't attempted to post a thread.

I made a thread earlier today in another forum. It disappeared.

Also when I tried to respond to someone's thread it would only allow me to type one word..like it used to do when starting a thread. Maybe Houzz is cleaning house and things are just wonky for awhile.

Well first of all, it was nothing like Amazing Audrey's amazing good news. Mine had nothing to do with a medical problem, well sort of didn't. I'll try again:

This afternoon I put some turkey in the oven to roast. I poured myself a cup of coffee
using the steaming hot water from the kettle (I use a coffee drink mix).
Curious, I wanted to see how hot the wall behind the stove gets when the oven is
on. So I reached way across to lay my hand on the wall. Suddenly I felt searing
pain. Here I had literally dipped my left boob down into the hot cup of coffee!
Talk about shock. LOL I stripped off my t-shirt and bra right there and then in
the middle of the kitchen.

I put some ointment on the area. It was all red and I thought sure it would
blister. But so far tonight it hasn’t and it doesn’t hurt very much. Only I
could do something crazy like this.

You may need to put cold/cool compresses on it to remove some of the heat so that you can sleep this evening.

Ouch! Ouch! OMG....that sets my teeth on edge. Aspirin at the least, so you can sleep. Poor thing!

Ouch Schoolhouse. I would have grabbed a second coffee mug for ice water and soaked it...no I'd need a pyrex mixing bowl. LOL

I hope the burn is gone and you sleep comfortably. Course you know to watch for blistering and infection.

That sounds like something I would do. Actually I've gotten pretty good about following a self-imposed rule that nothing can be underneath me when I'm reaching across things because I'll inevitably hit with my elbow or my something!

Glad it isn't causing you too much pain in and that it sounds like there is no permanent damage.

Not that you need this but my daughter spilled coffee all over her foot and had some pretty good burns which were luckily taken care of by polysporin and things like that. She was prompt in putting it on and used a scar removal cream too after the pain subsided. She has no scars and no discolored skin where the scabs were.

Ow! I am not allowed to take anything out of the oven, if I shared this, I would be banned from the stove too! My arms are so scarred from burns!

At least, the cup did not have a McDonald's logo on it, ... or did it?

Well I thought I had gotten away from the incident pretty much unscathed until this morning when I was dressing. There is a blister but still not much pain. I had used Polysporin yesterday right away and then again before bed, also put some on the area this morning. It's an old tube and almost used up so I'll get some more today.

I will tell you a little about my "boob experience". It will probably be deleted.

We had a stallion....and I handled him every day. Never a problem with him. I should have paid more attention that day....but I didn't. He hated a gelding we had. And when I went in the pasture with him....he was in his own 5 acre pasture, to put a halter on him, he was mad at the gelding. As I reached up with the halter, he swung his head around and bit me on the boob. I was wearing a bra back then....so I guess that gave a little more protection, but not much. It ripped my shirt, ripped my bra in half, and my boob ended up looking like an eggplant....dark purple and ice cold.

He knocked me on the ground, and I lay there for a second, stunned, but I was afraid he was going to come after me again, so I got out of there fast. He was a beautiful horse and I called Jody and said, "Side Winder is gone." Meaning I wouldn't have a horse that I was afraid of. Jody said, "Oh, we will geld him...." I said, "No...he is gone." There was a neighbor that loved him and wanted to buy him. I called him and told him to come get the horse. I gave him away.

So I went to the emergency room at a university hospital. One of the interns (who obviously didn't know horses) said, "What were you doing with him?" I won't repeat what my husband said I should have told him, but what I did tell him was it "was like getting your *testicles* slammed in a car door." I used another word. That shut him up.

I honestly thought it would fall off. It took a long time to heal because of the damage and the bite being at the top of my breast and it couldn't drain up hill. Awful. But I survived in tact, with just a scar to remind me.

Oh my gosh!!! I feel lucky now my foe was just a cup of coffee.

And you still love horses, Marilyn!
