Comments (1)I'm with the same issue right now.. which combi-oven did you get and why? I've heard Thermador has a good combo, although Gaggenau has tempted me with their beauty ovens too.. plz tell me your experience with your decision....See MoreWolf E series 30" double ovens vs. Thermador Masterpiece Double ovens
Comments (9)I have duel 30" Therm convection circa 2006 and love them. Others here have indeed had problems but I've only run the self-cleaning once or twice and I think that's where the trouble came from. I do hammer both ovens at 450 & 525 often (bread and pizza) for hours on end and both ovens at the same time and they have been problem free. They also seem to stay clean at that temp. As for top, bottom or both - both if you have the budget:for the flexibility. If only one, figure out which height you are most likely to be most comfortable with using most often and choose that one for convection. One note - my ovens are loaded with neat convince features like the temp probe, delayed bake, timed bake, etc... I use none of them. I do use the standard bake, broil, roast, proof, warm, fast preheat, and the convection pairings, but none of the "smart" features. Carefully consider your cooking style before paying for the next upgrade in the line. I was so very tempted to kill the budget with an extra 2k or so on the Meile with the internal rotisserie and a few other features - pretty sure I never would have used those either....See MoreWolf vs thermador steam ovens???
Comments (5)We love our Wolf CSO and probably use it daily. I have 4 ovens counting the micro but if it fits it's most likely going in the CSO. Ours is 4 yo and has had to be serviced once. The water heater needed replaced. I have no local service anymore but did when I 1st purchased it. I had one call in the 1st year but oddly a brand new circuit failed in our service panel which stumped the service tech, wasn't the ovens fault at all. Fortunately the oven isn't that heavy and fits easily into the back hatch of my car so I just took it out and took it to the service center 70 miles away. I live very rural so everything is far away. I had it back in a week and cost me $160 out of warranty to replace the heater. Back to working like a charm. It was a pain but worth it. On a side note, we were using our filtered well water for the 1st 3 1/2 years but have since switched to bottled water (not distilled) as our well water, though filtered still has a lot of minerals which will deposit out over time. The guy who replaced the heater mentioned that it needed the deposits cleaned out even though we descale fairly regularly. So we switched to see if that will help (most assuredly it will). The size of the Wolf was a major + for me, we also have a Wolf convection oven so it helps that the stack is all one mfg....See MoreMiele vs Wolf Oven vs Thermador and steam oven
Comments (5)I have a Kitchen Aid double wall oven, mine has the blue enamel as well but I have never used the self-cleaning feature. My understanding is that the self-cleaning feature (especially on modern appliances) has a tendency to fry the computer. I've had this unit for ~9 years (knock on wood)....See Morerhay
