thanks for the suggestions - I like the simple Pier 1 but I probably need at least one drawer. I also like one of the Shades of Light - the last one - but it is too big. I have now found 3 I really like that were too big. I think it may be one of those things I need to keep an eye out for until I find the perfect fit.

Lovely room! First thoughts: I would start with the curtains. I think anything with some blue would be lovely. I would add a nice rug to define the space and ground it. I would like something that has blue in it as well. I would then look at the wall between the two windows once the curtains are in place and go from there. You might just need some artwork or the mirror? Okay, do not shoot me, but have you considered painting your husbands bedside table to somewhat go better with yours? Finally, I would get taller lamps Here is a room in my old house that I decorated that is similar to yours (you can't see in the photo but there is another window to the left on the dresser) and a nice inspiration pic. "What size lamps are standard for bedside table &/or night tables? " There is no "standard". Lamp height would depend on the height of your bed, the height of your tables, and what you need the lamps for.

Hey Monica, It's hard to say without seeing the rest of the decor in your room, but I would go for more of an industrial wooden style or rustic metal - or if you go for something mirrored, more contemporary.
