Comments (3)You can go with the 3/4 copper to the outside because it is a short distance and also a 3/4" backflow device. I would go with 1" valves and manifold and 1" poly to the sprinkler heads. It's not that much more money and the flow characteristics are much better. We, on a regular basis flow 10 GPM on a 3/4" copper service and we always use 1" poly. I'm not familiar with a 32SA head. Must be Home Depot??? Your good on your head count and spacing. Three rows with heads evenly spaced, (9). The nozzle size for the 4 half circle heads should be approx. twice the size as the 4 corner head nozzles. likewise the 1 middle head should have a nozzle that is approx. 2 times the size as the half circle head on that zone.. You should be able to do this safely with 3 zones. Look at the rainbird 5004 series head....See MoreFlamenco getting ready to flush for 1st time ever
Comments (12)Cindy when it is open it looks pink to me. When it is in the process of opening it looks orange but absolutely no red. But then it is only the first flush. Color is suppose to get more intense with the second one I believe or? Daniella thanks. I am waiting for it to get later and hoping they will open by the morning the latest. They are looking good so far. Even the falling over did not hurt them today....See MoreGetting ready for Tomato time, I have questions
Comments (3)Ditto what Bill said. The only thing I would add is that when using my Earthboxes, the answer to this question: 2. Since the potting mix already has fertilizer mixed in(Sta-Green) is the cup of fertilizer mixed into the top 6" of potting mix necessary or will it be to much? Is yes, the cup of fertilizer is still needed. Plus I supplement even that with liquid fertilizers and compost tea throughout the growing season. All the Sta-Green potting mixes I have seen already has both perlite and pine bark fines in it so don't know why you'd need to add more. I don't. Dave...See MoreGet ready set.......... Comments (1)Actually there is a way to see what it would look like...Take your tiles to a colour photocopier. Lay them out on the copier surface in the pattern that you are planning for the wall, and copy them to make yourself some mock-up sheets. Make enough sheets to cover a decent portion of the wall. Tape them in place and then you'll have a very good idea of what things will look like. Play with them until you find the perfect arrangement. :)...See More- 7 years ago
