black sides on refrigerator
Comments (9)I was worried about this too, but we ended up boxing in the fridge. I was going to say that if you can get tall, thin "skins" from the cabinetmaker, essentially 1/4 inch finished plywood, you could attach them directly to the sides of the fridge, possibly with that industrial velcro, so they're removable (you'd just have to remove the velcro adhesive with goof-off remover to remove them forever). That might be a less labor-intensive fix than fully boxing in the fridge for concealing that small bit of sides that you see....See Morerefrigerator panels and upper cab depth, std. depth refrigerator
Comments (5)If I had it to do over again, I would have ordered both the panel and the cabinet on top of the fridge to be 28" deep. The granite would then just butt into the panel, and give a standard fridge more of a built in look. We used Shuler/Medalion Cabinets which allowed us to order custom sizes. Of course it would have cost more, but less than a "cabinet depth" refrigerator. Here is a link that might be useful: Standard 24'' panel...See MoreCabinet install - it doesn't look right - HELP!!!
Comments (36)lazygardens photo shoes variations, but just different shades of the same tone. RED is a whole different family than Brown, and I can't imagine the same wood turning RED with a simple varnish. I'm with you. I would be bothered by the completely different color hues. It would be understandable, light vs dark in the SAME color family, but 2 different families on one piece of wood? Looks to me like 2 different woods. I just walked in our pub and looked at the butcher block top, stained in a walnut tone, and yes, there are variations, but every little piece of the block has the same tone. Maybe the fix would be to strip the whole thing, stain it all one color, and then apply varnish? I am sorry this happened to you. Good luck with getting the contractor to fix it for you. If you still owe money you do have leverage. An unhappy customer is not good business for any contractor. Fingers Crossed for you!...See MoreThermador Column Custom Panels
Comments (9)I think this has to do with how you designed the side panels around the refrigerator. I have Thermador Freedom column 36 inch with bottom freezer. Like marcydc, the side panels on my refrigrerator is flush with the front of the door, not the back body of the refrigerator. You also have a top spacer for the refrigerator. I don't quite understand what that is. The Freedom columns do not have a panel at the top. The air grills are at the bottom that gets covered with matching toe kick. Do you by chance have their "built-in" line with the grill at the top? They are NOT integrated refrigerators.... They are built in refrigerators. They will NOT look completely flush. If you look at the web site, pulled out side panel, ie macydc's installation is how the refrigeator is installed on the Thermador web site....See Morestillpitpat
