Ginkgo biloba 'Ross Moore' availibility in Maryland
Comments (12)I have a couple of copies that I grafted from a 1 gal 'Ross Moore' that I got from Kelly at pendulousplants.com several years ago. I doubt that any of the "weeping" forms of ginkgo are what one would think of as truly weeping in the sense of 'Chaparral' weeping mulberry or 'Kilmarnock' weeping pussy willow or 'Camperdown' weeping Scots elm. I may have a smaller graft available and I have enough scion wood to share. Charley Hunter...See MoreACS Conifer of the Year...arrival
Comments (9)You got a beauty there! Ken, the big difference I have seen between 'Niagara Falls' and 'Pendula' are primarily in growth rate. 'Pendula' will put on quite a lot of new growth with long bare internodes. 'Niagara Falls' with its shorter annual growth creates a more compact looking, sprawling mound, with its foliage covering more of the branches. 'Niagara Falls' will need to be staked if greater height is desired than it would normally produce, in time, as it mounds upon itself....See MoreGinkgo biloba 'Pete's dwarf'
Comments (21)Good AM Conifer collectors ~ please educate this old & very curious *giving tree Duchess of a Ginkgo* slave. How is the connection between these 2 trees I suddenly found in this thread? Have just recently been reading & asking in this forum, triggered by the cute li'l D Alberta & now inherited a friend's cute E Cypress (to care for). Suddenly the name GINKGO ~ I'm so keenly close to (emotionally). Mine is a giant of a tree & quite prolific ~ now adding the word DWARF into the equation really piqued my curiosity even more! Really curious ~ is it just as Sara eloquently puts it in the tree forum "A whole new obssession!" TIA...See MoreNice article in ACS
Comments (7)That's my job - to read, write, re-write, re-write once again. My father would have nothing else! This is a guy who has an entire month with respect to each day and also with respect to each hour of each day, written-down. He was also the fastest man in Rock Island, IL @ one time during his life. Now he created me and I'm even faster.....! (excuse me, not anymore!) 33, fat, sleeps a lot - would be my personal ad! And, "conifer nerd." Dax...See Moreplantkiller_il_5
