I agree with oakleyok regarding the window treatment. Is there anything you can do to completely cover the white that shows along the top and both sides of the windows? Perhaps panels that hang straight down on the ends and a valance that goes across the whole top of the window.

You have a lot of different things going on. Because the spot it directly in front of the house (as viewed from the street) I'd be inclined to simplify the area and calm it down. And keep it low. So low, sun tolerant groundcover would be my choice. Within that category, there's be options on height and character, dependent, of course, on what the conditions are offering. It could be 1' high, 3' high or in between, depending on what you choose. But groundcover will automatically limit the height whereas shrub masses usually keep getting forever taller.

Thx Diana and everyone else for their input. I’m debating between merlin solid light gray or the island granite. I want light water but I’m in ny and lots of grass and trees so I thought of it was too white it would look out of place. I also have medium gray coping so both would blend well but the island granite prob the closest. I’m nervous it’s going to be too dark

@judi It was a queen, and we had decided that we wanted a king. It was so hulking, and our other bedrooms are upstairs with 9’ ceilings…ds and dd didn’t want it and it literally dwarfed the guest room…so my friend sold it for me on FB marketplace! I loved it for many years but it was time for a change. 😊
