Dramatically different pulls would drive me crazy. Get the appliances you like, you can replace ALL of the pulls for something new or find very similar styles to one or the other you have/might have. I had a great experience with Cool Knobs and Pulls and you can google "appliance pulls" for a lot more options.

Better for whom for what? More to the point, for whom who are you renovating your kitchen?

Of course, if you wait for a while, there will be somebody who will fill find any mix objectionable. Its just personal taste. So, if the mix is not offensive to your household, don't worry about it. Maybe you are thinking that somewhere here we forum members have hidden a secret rule book saying "thou shalt not...." ;>) Joking aside, if it does not bother you, don't worry about it.

As for your choice of the Maytag range, have you looked into the "Aqua-Lift" oven self-cleaning function? A lot of Whirlpool/Maytag/JennAir/Etc. ranges customers are unhappy with Aqualift. You will get a million different opinions on appliances. Do your due diligence and cross your fingers...

I agree with vinmarks. I have never noticed mismatched pulls, but apparently some do.

Nobody is checking if the pulls match- on stainless appliances the pulls will blend in with the stainless background. Don't overthink this. It will be fine.

We have mixed brands of stainless appliances in our kitchen and they look fine. A word of advice if it helps, don't shop for a certain brand. Instead, get what fits YOUR needs best. No matter what brand you choose, there will be negative feedback. People love Maytag...others hate it. People love KitchenAid...others hate it...and so on. I wouldn't worry about matching handles...just not a big deal.

Don't read too much of this forum....You'll need therapy if you do.

You have a lovely kitchen (you are clearly not clueless) and if anyone notices your pulls, then I suggest you don't invite them back.

Rachel I didn't either until I moved a year and a half ago. I did exactly what chloebud recommended, I bought the appliances I wanted, gas stove (LG) and dishwasher (Bosch) while the previous owners refrigerator (KitchenAid) stayed. It was incredibly hard to tell the difference in brands/line steel finish except for the pulls. Now I just dream that someone can make me a custom 8' X 40" X 28" french door fridge, lol.
