my broccoli leaves have turned orangey/red/brown

all of my cole crops look sick this year; some have orangey/red/brown leaves all over, and most were barely able to squeeze out a small, probably not nutritious cauliflower, cabbage or broccoli.

I had planted them with fertilizer, extra bonemeal, some magnesium (perhaps too much?), and some azomite. I can only assume that this was too much for the plants, but normally, these soil supplements don't lead to this kind of effect. Watering is adequate, and they're in the ground, protected from snails etc by copper barriers.

help!
