Anyone know where I can see the Shook Hill in person?
Comments (18)@mfowler- THANK YOU!! This is so incredibly helpful. Hubby and I are actually discussing using the Stone Creek plan, but modifying it to look like Shook Hill on the outside; it's fun to see that someone else had the same (partially, anyway) idea! I'm also glad to see the size of Stone's family room- much better sized than Shook's. And I def prefer Shook's kitchen over Stone's. I think Mitch Ginn needs to read this thread and come up with a hybrid plan! Maybe call it Stone Hill? Shook Creek? :) Hubby and I REALLY appreciate your pictures and the time you took to post them!...See MoreCan't see 'some' replies in FF, but can see them using IE hmmm..
Comments (5)dwsam used HTML code in his post, but doesn't know the correct code. IE is much looser in what it allows, so even though it isn't coded correctly, IE displays it. The post starts with a link tag, but the tag isn't properly closed, so FF ignores it. If you view source and save it as dwsam.html, then edit it so that the <link . . . ends with /> instead of just > it will display in browsers that require proper html....See MoreAnyone have Kohler Lakefield sink? Can I see it?
Comments (5)I had a Kohler in my old kitchen almost exactly like this, except the small bowl was round and set back towards the back of the sink creating a little cast iron countertop-like space in front. (I wish I could remember the name. I don't see it for sale much anymore.) The large bowl was the exact dimension of the Lakefield. I really liked the sink, except for the fact that it was my only sink. I've discovered that for the way I cook, the prep and and cleanup zones really need to be separated. The large sink was big enough for my huge mixing bowls and for large baking sheets to sit flat. VERY important. Even if my sink had the rectangular small bowl instead of the round, I'm not sure it would be enough space to use as the prep side of the sink. Again, I really liked the sink. If I had the room in my new kitchen, I would use it as a prep sink and have a larger single-bowl cleanup sink. Be careful that the sink you choose has a large bowl big enough to flat large pans and sheets down flat for soaking. I don't think I have a pic around though. Sorry! It looks great installed....See MoreHas anyone installed Caesarstone White Attica countertops? Can I see?
