Photo in commentsHi all so I used to be a regular here asking and answering questions about urban vegetable gardens up against the condo.I won't be doing that anymore because we just bought a house out of the city!My new problem is the wildflowers here in the Prairies in central Canada grow about 4 ft tall and they're dense and filled with ticks and other bugs. They're beautiful to look at in a field but I need to get rid of them to lay down sod around my house. It's a newly developed lot so there's not even topsoil down yet.I really need help on what to do with these wildflowers and weeds... some say just mow them down cover with top soil and sod and it will be fine other say pull them out.Obviously pulling them out is hugely labor-intensive! Can I get some advice on how to clear away these dense wildflowers and weeds to lay down sod on my property? Thanks!
