Comments (3)Most standard blenders with the screw bottom fits mason jars. mine is the exact one in the video link here and works great its a Osterizer blender 14 speed. you could get one from wally world for $24 or at your local goodwill for like $5 Here is a link that might be useful: Blender and Mason Jar...See MoreCan you recommend a good blender ?
Comments (12)LOVE our BlendTec Home blender. Much like a Vitamix, which I was interested in at first. The BlendTec has a shorter and wider jar for easier clean out and easier fit under upper cabs, doesn't need 2 different blades for wet and dry, and I got 2 jars with it for a total about $100 less than a Vitamix. I checked with my niece who has managed stores in major coffee chains, and she said they used to use VitaMix, then switched to BlendTec, so she had lots of experience with both. She said they exhibited the same excellent performance and durability. I have been amazed at how quickly and smoothly ice smoothies, salad dressings, etc turn out with this blender. It took me over a year to decide to spend the money, but it was worth it....See MoreHow do you lubricate or grease a blender?
Comments (20)I never did get any food grade lubricant, but at least now I know that it exists. I don't have the problem blender anymore, but I do have the Black & Decker blender that I bought 14 years ago. I store it in the garage and use it only for making hot sauce when I have chocolate Habanero chilies. I have a Vitamix blender in the kitchen and use that the rest of the time, although I more frequently use a stick blender....See MoreHow Many Like to Drink Buttermilk!
Comments (35)My dad thought milk was the perfect food. It is....for calves. He was very upset because I wouldn't drink it. We had a milk cow and they ended up selling her because we couldn't use all the milk she produced. (Plus I think my mother was tired of milking.). After that we got milk from the milkman. He came early in the morning and he came inside and put the milk in the refrigerator. He didn't knock.... just said "Milk Man" as he came in the door. I am sure my dad was lactose intolerant. He drank so much milk and he always had stomach trouble. He lived on Tums. I agree with Glenda, buttermilk pie is the best....See MoreDolly
