I'm taking a trip to Vegas...
Comments (4)Thanks for the advice...Strangely enough I know someone (unrelated to the wedding) who's going to be staying at the Bellagio over that weekend. She's a friend of a friend so I may just have to pay her a visit. Since the niece who's getting married is a biologist with the state of Nevada, I'll bet she'll know about the butterflies there..(although she might be a tad bit too busy to think butterfly...) Maryann in CT...See MoreTrip to see Curt Hanson
Comments (14)I wish I had known you were coming, I would have tried to stop by. If you were here over the weekend I would have also told you to swing by the NODS Daylily sale which was Saturday and Sunday and not too far from Curt's. They had over 300 varieties for sale from $5.00 to $40.00 and there were some very nice plants. I brought home GUIDED BY VOICES, SHERRY LANE CARR, NILE NITENGALE, MANDARIN SEAS, PROJECT BLUE BOOK, VOICES IN THE FOG, LITTLE RAINBOW, and REGENCY HEIGHTS....See MoreShould I take my tomatillo on a road trip?
Comments (10)I had tomatilo's last year as well as this year. They develop flowers quickly and lots of them but take forever to bare fruit. Last year, towards the end of season they developed a husk and a small fruit inside. They7 never became edible because the growing season was coming to an end. I don't think they need a partner, although I could be wrong. I'll post later....See MoreI'm taking a trip down Memory Lane
Comments (31)You're not pestering me at all--I don't often get a chance to sound smart! :-) I'm pretty sure the photo was posed. My father loved to do stuff like that. A scanner like this one would absolutely do a good job with photos. I think prints aren't mentioned much in the description or in reviews because it's understood that the scanner is fine for them. Its ability with slides and negatives is the big plus. The description says this, which might interest you: Enhance old photos: Built-in retouching technology removes much of the dust and scratches on original prints, improving image quality. I've scanned documents on mine, and turned them into PDF files. It's easy. As far as I know the scanner must make a wired connection to the computer, so it would have to be in close enough proximity to do that. Let us know what you decide. If you think of any more questions, ask away!...See MoreRose Pekelnicky
