Comments (13)every plant has its 'season' .... this trees season is spring and early summer ... when it is in its glory ... when the heat/drought hits in late august.. yeah.. it starts looking ratty ... but so what.. there are other things to look at ... IMHO .... it is a must have.. and as proof.. and being a collector.. i have no reason for two of anything ... but i do have 2 of these ... ken ps: and to mess with bboy .. lol ... the pink fades to a parchment color ... ergo ibso presto ... i personally consider that it has the requisite three colors ... lol ... pps: sorry.. i apparently do not have a picture of my fagus syl riversii ... the dark purple leafed copper beech .. now explain that name to me ... so i will link to some images .... you might want to look into pendula .... Comments (7)First thought... Cathedral Windows or Stained Glass or Hole Mole. Great sun tolerance. I know they are often considered large, but they seem to take a long time to get beyond medium for me... going a different direction - Touch of Class does surprisingly well in sunlight. I just noticed that in a Q&A this winter, Hideko Gowen pict TOC as her "favorite hosta introduction in the last couple of years..." And I think Kiwi Full Monty or Gypsy Rose might fit the bill and also add some interesting character, with the white strips reflecting the margins on Moonlight....See MoreLet's see your darkest green with brightest yellow margin
