Starting Plumeria Cutting for Beginners

containertime

This is my first time growing plumerias. During a visit to Hawaii, I picked up a cutting at the ABC store. I don't know if these are the best cuttings due to the fact that they are coming from a very touristy store. Unfortunately, the cutting didn't come with clear planting instructions. It says to remove the wax covering. Does that mean to peel off the wax or cut the bottom off? Also, after removing or cutting the wax off, should I let the end dry for a few days?

Then it says to place into potting soil. Will a quality potting with 1/3 perlite be fine? Also, is it okay to place the cutting in a large pot?

Sorry for all my questions as this is my first time with plumerias. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
