We purchased ours (in Canada) and after going to MANY lighting stores found these to be the nicest and not as hot, if you happen to get close. Every store..even lighting specialty stores..told me that they could not be hard wired. I just knew they could and pursued it and hired an electrician. With the proper transformer (enough to handle the wattage amount) I purchased, the Electrician wired them all to the transformer (place under my sink in a metal "junction" type looking box) NO PROBLEM. He then wired a separate cable from the panel box and put in a new switch in my backsplash. The are even dimmable, with the proper "magnetic" type of dimmable switch!!! Something the Electrician told me. I'm very happy with them and glad I hired the Guy to install, it seemed very time consuming....although not hard, just tedious! No regrets! If you decide to do it, purchase those extras like the transformer, (at least 10watts more than what your lights add up to), dimmable switch, long caps that cover the wiring under your cabinet (purchased from Home Depot, white long opening/locking wire covers that have double backed tape to ensure they stick under your cabinets) .........etc on your own, they cost more when the Electrician provides them. I had one in my previous kitchen. It was an Elkay gourmet something or other with the drainboard on the left, one really deep bowl and one regular depth bowl. It was a drop in. I LOVED it. I wanted one for my current house (kitchen in planning), but budget is different this time and I did not want to spend the $1200+ (I think they are even more money now). I watched craigslist for a while and found a used one for $125! Here are a couple of other choices I found when I was looking: Kindred KCWD6016R Franke ARX621 Ikea Boholmen - don't think the basins are very deep I really don't understand why they are not more popular in the states. They seem to be more common overseas.

yes, johnsoro25, my situation is like that, right next a little half wall but on the opposite side of the kitchen (little wall on right not left). As long as the articulating hinge allows the 90 degree opening to get everything out I don't have an issue. Though, I am a bit weary about not having the landing space exactly next to the fridge. My current design has a 24" pantry between the fridge and counter. But moving that fridge next to the counter means a really tight space in the aisle.

It looks like this match is form 2018, and it also looks like they pulled this door color and reintroduced since. Can anyone confirm this match works with the current 2021 lerhyttan grey?
