Help transform my small bedroom into bedroom + office space.
Comments (3)So I just tweeked your current plan a little bit by doing pier style cabinets on either side of the bed. Then you don’t have to have a nightstand. Or you can just do full height wardrobes. You will have to account for the jogs in the wall so that the bed is positioned so that you can get the doors open. Then the desk would be opposite the bed and possibly add a little bookcase. I am showing a queen sized bed....See MoreFilling a large bedroom
Comments (12)I agree we need photos of every wall. You haven't done too badly given this is your first attempt, but your bed wall is totally unbalanced. Looks like you have a little tray thingy on the right side; pull that up to the bed as if it were a small nightstand. Mostly though, that rug can't stay there. Plus you need bigger, better lamps. That dinky lamp on the shelf over the desk has to go. Would like to see what else is on the shelf so I can throw some more of your stuff out. ;-)...See MoreBedroom with off center windows and alot of blank wall space
Comments (8)I like your bedside tables but they are too big for the current location. They feel too visually tight and the one at the door overlaps the door frame - against the visual rules, looks weird. I agree with DM. It looks to me that the wall to place the front of the bed is the one opposite the closet/bathroom door wall. I cannot tell if you have enough room at the end of the bed to do this. It need not be a full wall of solid fabric draperies. It could be translucent fabric. Check out The Shade Store or Smith & Noble Draperies. Or there is always IDEA for a really cheap solution. It's ok if you see the door through the draperies. That should do the trick to pull the room together....See MoreBig Empty Bedroom Wall
Comments (26)You could make your room a reading retreat by adding a console (with tv above) and store books, magazines, and photo albums, etc. Try pulling your rug out as well Suggest replacing the small table between chairs with something larger to make that area feel more substantial; but more importantly, for the addition of a good reading lamp, book, coffee cup, etc. Add pillow and a throw and for more comfort, you could move the chairs back a bit as there seems to be room and add ottomans....See MoreUser
