What should I do with my kitchen cabinets?

As beautiful as this kitchen is I'm just not a fan of the dark mohogany wood cabinetry. I actually hate it lol. But with the tan/pink tone of the tile on the floor and the wall colour adjacent to the kitchen (and on the back of the bar counter) I can't think of a good color for the cabinets. Hoping to get them painted. Would all white look too white with the backsplash and darker granite? Would grey on the bottom and white on top look weird with the dark taupe on the wall? Should I just go dark brown/dark taupe brown? Any ideas would be super helpful thanks!

I'd do all one color (full disclosure: I'm not a fan of different colored uppers and lowers) but I'd look at the granite or the floor and pull some colors from there. I think a nice gray would work or possibly a creamy color, it's just hard to tell from the photos. White is pretty versatile but you may end up with too much white that would clash with the floor too much. Could you post a close-up of the countertop and a close-up of the floor? To me, the tops are gray and white but is there another color in there that you could go from? Same with the floor, is there a color you could use?

I sure don't blame you for wanting to paint, either.

What about black or navy? (I figure you already are good at dusting your cabinets with those red ones!)

First house had a kitchen with natural maple cabs. No stain. Looked great after 30 years, though they did yellow some..which is the nature of maple. Present house has bathrooms with stained maple cabs. While they’re not horrible, I did learn the hard way that maple can be very splotchy when stained.

I would do the waincoting in light (whitish) color to match the rest of the door trim and baseboards and that will coordinate well with the green. Maybe the wall could be a shade darker, or lighter, then the wainscot and trim? Add a beautiful painting on the wall and some potted plants around the room to pick up the basil green cabinets. It will look great!

if the right side window is below counter height I suggest you seriously mock up your plan on graph paper. where are the kitchen components going? I thought you'd be doing a compact L shape like this w everything on the two walls....but keeping two windows....,.now it looks like the right window may be too low so how do you eek out a kitchen there?

Those are very nice looking cabinets and I would not paint them. Having your cabinets professionally painted is quite expensive. And, these cabinets seem too quality for a DIY paint job. Your counters are what really throws the color of this room off for me, but I suspect a counter replacement is not in the stars for you now. I really like the wall color with the floor and the cabinets, but again the stone is throwing it off. Maybe one of these genius pros on here could suggest a new wall color to tie the cabinets, counters, and floors together?

The counter is "new caledonia" greys, blacks and some hints of pink/taupe. The tile is pinkish but in the light can sometimes look more beige than pink (the photo makes it warmer than what it really is)
