Brad, HA! What a coincidence...I have played in the Rocky Horror PICTURE Show for around 15years in Portland! I played Magenta and Dr. Frank n Furter for most of those years. Various characters here and there. Wish I had the guts to get up there and actually SING, like you. All I am good for is lip-syncing and imitation. Our cast would also have different theme nights where you dress up as something different while performing your character. Loads of fun, and that's where the creativity in costuming had to come in. After 15 years, I had to get REALLY creative, so as not to repeat the same costumes, and try to be somewhat original! I would love to see pictures of your latest creation AS WELL as pictures of your Usherette costume! Anyway, yeah. WS.... I have recently had to move to a new house, and most of my WS plants from a few years back had to stay put. Most of the plants I tried to take succumbed to Summer heat because I had to move in July of all months! So now, I start all over. My seeds are old, and the new house depleted my savings. But I am sure most of them are still viable. I have enough to at least start building a small garden again. 10 containers, and I feel like I'm doing ok! Springtime will be a whirlwind of work work work. As it turns out, I was spoiled at my last house with some pretty decent soil. This new place is nothing but rock. I mean, just... Rock. Big ones the size of cantalopes, down to the tiniest gravel. Most are the size of baseballs. I had to start digging/sifting through rock just to have a place to move my original plants, and my heart sunk. THEN I put up a fence. Yeeaaahhhh. So as soon as the land dries out, I will be out there. Digging, sifting, digging, sifting. Not to mention the truckloads of soil I will have to bring in to make up for all of that rock I remove. Ugh..Stupid rocks. Any creative thought I have now is consumed with, "What in the world am I going to do with all these rocks?" Maybe build an outdoor fireplace? Or some kind of pillar, in a pair on either side of the driveway? Or some weird sculpture? But I digress... Hooray for Winter Sowing! It helped me create a beautiful Cottag-ey garden on the cheap at my old house, and it will do the same as I start over in my forever home. Steff

Boy, do I agree with all of you! I've had a lot of the same experiences and done a lot of the things you've suggested. (except for the You-Tube thing, that's funny!) It seems like as soon as somebody learns how to use a computer and how to e-mail people, that's what they start doing. It's the mark of a Newby. I have a cousin that doesn't e-mail me at all anymore because I asked her to stop sending stuff like that. I asked her nice, in much the same was as has been recommended here. Lots of genealogy buddies won't e-mail me at all anymore because I don't want the junk. It's not fair! I'd love to hear from all of them, just not the junk. An old classmate just happily continued sending stuff -- from work, yet -- until I blocked her e-mails from coming to me entirely. She hacked me off. I didn't like her very much while we were going to school with each other. I stole her boyfriend and still she wanted to be pals. --Especially after somebody came along and stole the guy from me! LOL I don't know why people get so insulted when they're asked not to send the junk stuff.

Well, I guess I'm extinct...I love tablecloths, esp. old vintage colorful ones, love chairs that move, and have rockers, gliders, ones on castors, etc., have an antique leather loveseat that can convert to a less-than full-sized bed, have a china cabinet that I'll never part with, a vast collection of mainly classic DVD movies, not ready to give up my landline for the emergency reasons stated, sleep in a full-size bed as I don't need bigger, and the bedroom feels larger with a smaller bed...love my vintage card table-another dinosaur? Although my adult daughter and I don't care for the overstuffed recliner look, we are both contemplating my mother's recliner that is 45 years old and very petite. If either of us take it, we would recover it in leather with nailhead trim....I don't have a coffee table only due to the small size of my living room, however, I got rid of regular nightstands years ago in favor of larger pieces of furniture - one a desk - that flank my bed, which I find much more functional. Extinct - maybe beaded screens (remember those!!? I had one separating two rooms... Someday extinct bookshelves? Although I'll never part with mine! I love my window cranes, too, but seldom see them anymore. I also love my cotton lace curtains, and wonder if they are considered on par with doilies! Penny

WHEW! I am now officially -DONE- with the sign language letter squares on quilts. Sephie came over to work on her quilt, and brought a friend Kenisha along, who is now also working on a quilt and would like her name spelled out in sign language too, please. All I could think of was all those vowels!! Then Kenisha got the fabulous idea to add her birthdate of 1999, so Sephie of course wanted to add her birthdate of 2000. Lucky they weren't born in the same year or we would have run out of numbers! Astonishingly and amazingly, we were able to fully spell out both little quilters' names and birthdates: "PERSEPHONE 1999" and "KENISHA 2000". That's in addition to "EMILY SAPYTA" and "ZELIA 2007" for my nieces' quilts. I have enough to put "FUN" on two Linus quilts and then I don't want to see these sign language letters again! When I get home I'll post which fabric letters I have left, free for the asking and a SASE.
