Comments (13)Ah, that's good to see better pictures of Excitement. I bought this one at a big box store last year too, and I'll swear I saw a lovely high centered bloom popping out of the plant when I bought it. The only 2 blooms I saw in my yard last year were mangled horrible scrawny things that I wouldn't even class as a rose bloom, and it's good to know that was just a passing phase. Comments (6)Very difficult to id with only a few photos. Could be Golden Showers, but seems to have too many petals and be a bit too bright yellow in my own experience. Golden Showers also shatters very quickly, a day or two in my experience, so if the blooms last longer, then perhaps you can rule GS out. But then we will all be just guessing and roses vary depending on climate, location, and many other things. My personal first impression is that it resembles 'Lichtkönigin Lucia' a wonderful Kordes rose from the mid 60's that was widely grown. But there are many other possibilities. Trying to identify a mystery rose is not an exact, or simple process. Good luck, but an exact ID is unlikely. Cheers, Rick...See MoreDavid Austin Rose ID Help
Comments (8)Hello, I just went around my yard to see which of my pale Austin’s I have blooming to compare. Maybe your rose is Tranquility based on your petals configuration. Like Kristine mentioned if you have any ideas of what was included in your bunch it would really help. Yours seems to have more yellow than my tranquility, but I guess this could vary. the crocus rose is another one that can look similar. Your petal configuration also looks a bit like Crown princess when it is at its palest. ( it rarely gets this color in my garden) You meantioned your buds don’t have any red so it is unlikely that it could be lichefield ( also your petals are too pointy). Marlorena your LA is gorgeous. This one is certainly one of my fav near white Austin’s....See MoreJ zone 7a NJ
