Thanks, Zep. Well, I figured that it wasn't trouble with a particular cartridge, or else black and white documents would not be printing all right in black and white. But in the end, I put in new color cartridges, having put in a new black one a couple of weeks ago. The colors were being reported as low, but apparently still containing ink. As soon as I put in the new cartridges, I was able to print a black and white picture in black and white again, with no red! This is a great puzzle to me. Obviously, the fact that the cartridges were low in ink must have had something to do with the problem. Yet, if a color is low, then why does the printer start using ONLY that color for printing that should be using the black, of which there was plenty? Is this some ploy of HP to force people to buy more ink even when there is still enough left in the old cartridges?

Use Smartripper (or some other DVD extraction software) to extract the .VOB files from your DVD. Use DVD2AVI to open the .VOB files and save them as a project (a .d2v file). Then use TMPGenc to open the .d2v file as the video file to convert to an mpeg, and then go to "other settings", select the Advanced tab, then make sure that Video Arrange Method is set to "full screen (keep aspect ratio)", then click next a few time and start the conversion. The Video Arrange Method needs to be set that way so it'll keep the proper aspect ratio. If for some reason it still isn't doing the right thing you can try the other settings. Smartripper, DVD2AVI, and TMPGenc are all freeware that can be found by doing a Google search for them.

This is how I do it. Go to the picture you want to post Right click and scroll down to properties and click on it. Copy the address(URL) Now you have to add the address in the body of your post, but you have to use this formula. img src=" " your address goes in between the parentheses. Then put after the whole formula. I can't write it out as it should be, or else it thinks I'm trying to post something. Sorry so confusing! I keep the formula on my bulletin board above my computer so I can post when I want. Hope it helps!

If you want to try to grab the image URL right from the HTML they provide, you'll have to dissect the HTML a little bit. Basically, if you right click on one of their images, you'll get a box with a "large image" and a "small image" with HTML in the following structure. div link image end image end link end div Basically you want what is right in the middle. You'll have to copy the whole thing by clicking on it and holding the Ctrl button while pressing the c button. Then paste it somewhere you can cut out the unwanted HTML. Look for the third tag that says "img" and has a "src" attribute. You want the URL that is sandwiched in the tag inside the double quotes where src="URL". Their images appear to be JPGs, so the URL that you grab should begin with "http://" and end in ".jpg". You can then put that URL into your browser URL area and go directly to the image to save it.
