Living room furniture help and how to add color
Comments (27)twn - I think the idea presented by blondepegasus was to scoot the sofa out away from the wall and place either another sofa (not a twin to your existing sofa) or a couple of chairs, all facing one another to make a conversation area or grouping to make the most of your gorgeous FP. Have you tried moving the sofa away from the wall, or more in line with FP in the room (similar to the blonde's pics)?...See MoreHow to add architectural interest to a completely boring Phoenix home?
Comments (20)I'm afraid that cut-out wall would forever bother me. Could the holes be filled in and the wall continued toward the other wall on the right, so that there is still a pathway on the left? If not load-bearing, why not remove it, and I think someone mentioned putting a wooden beam in the opening, which would certainly add architectural interest....See MoreAcceptable tile job?
Comments (36)I'm actually installing this tile in our bathroom right now and while i am not an experienced tile setter i still would not have laid the tiles down like that because once you see two tiles laid side by side when it should it have been offset, you will never unsee the flaw. I feel like it should be corrected....See MoreHow would you redo this living room wall with fireplace and built-ins?
Comments (1)Congratulations on your new home. It looks like a beautiful living room. Suggestions for your consideration; Do remove the built in bookshelves. They throw the balance of the room completely off. As for the TV placement you can set it up so that the TV has it's own place to the left of the fireplace or do a long low linear gas fireplace and then the TV over the mantel. I always suggest keeping the TV as low as possible for better viewing when ever possible. Either way, if it was me, I would put stone or tile all the way across the wall. It would look a lot better and balance out that wall. This is a direct vent gas fireplace. Just an example and one of many available. It is 72" long. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=psclZo0hYSI&feature=emb_logo this is a tutorial about TV placement. Hope it helps. MAE...See Moresilviakunst
