ABC cancels Roseann show.

After making some racists tweet, ABC has canceled Roseann Barrs show. Thank you ABC. After dressing up in a Nazihttps://www.msnbc.com/craig-melvin/watch/abc-cancels-roseanne-after-roseanne-barr-s-racist-tweets-1243893315586 uniform and eating burnt Jew cookie, she is beyond disgusting.

There was no outrage when Wanda called President Trump Orangutan, oh right, because Blacks cant be racist. Bill Maher said President Trump was sired (meaning his mother had to be with an orangutan ) for him to have orange hair, no one was appalled by it. So, it is ok to insult Mrs. Trump because she is white. No racism there? SNL put on a skit calling President Trump 'Cracker' all in the name of comedy. Michelle wolf can insult Sarah Sanders and she gets a new show, shouldn't women stand up for other women? Jemele Hill can call President Trump a White supremacist and she is awarded 'Journalist of the year'. No outrage when Jimmy Kimmel did black face, why because he is a comedian, then the same should go for Roseanne. Stephanie lawson Muhammad , a member of the south orange- maplewood board of education ,called the Sherriff 'Skin head' and she apologized and is keeping her job, why, because she is muslim/black, so that exempts her. Incidents like this happen everyday. Everyone is suddenly outraged by Roseanne's tweet but not by the above examples, because in the world view it is ok to be racist against white people.If the networks have a standard, bring it across the board, cancel all shows where hosts exhibit such views. But no, they keep the shows that line with their agenda. Liberals do have carte blanche to criticize whoever they want however they want. Feel sad that no one is calling out the blatant hypocrisy/double standard.

Hat’s off to ABC. I haven’t seen the tweet, don’t want to. The fact that ABC apparently took little to no time at all to break ties with her, pretty much says it all.

Natal, compared to the ratings of other shows that air opposite of the soaps, people ARE watching. Granted, the ratings have done a nose dive due to the cable shows, but their ratings are equal to the soaps. Except Y&R which has always had high ratings. Just don't cancel my Y&R and I'll be happy! Last night a friend called me from California who doesn't even watch AMC, just to voice her disappointment that they're getting rid of an American icon. Soaps in general. I know this will sound silly, but I relate cancelling soaps to the majority of people who stopped sending old-fashioned and beautiful Christmas cards and are now sending pictures of their families. Just call me Scrooge. :)

" because in the world view it is ok to be racist against white people." Racism is prejudice + power. There can be prejudice and hate against/toward whites, but not racism. Whites are the most powerful group in this country and no other group has the power or means to oppress them. White people own and control every single power structure that exists here - federal, state and most local governments, the economy, our education system, all the media, all law enforcement. It has always been thus. And white men are at the top of the heap in every single of those structures. Sexism works the same way. I think racism we are seeing is white people's fear that the tables are going to turn and they will be in the minority and lose that power. That may happen some day, but it's going to take a lot for any other group to rise to the top of of any of those systems. We may have elected a president who wasn't white, but, as we saw, racism kept him from having the same power as the white presidents before him. Thank heavens, some people with sanity are keeping the current president from having as much power as he wants and thinks he's entitled to. But it's not racism.

Nicole, I agree. it is also the case of using athletes as role models! When did it become a thing that someone who could throw or kick a ball should be looked at with idol status? Same with actors. They play a role. I agree Mushcreek, it is very difficult to separate an actor from his true persona. I dislike Kelsey Grammer and Woody Allan now. And I now do avoid their current work. But I can't help remember that Woody's movies were all my favorites and that I watched all the episodes of Fraser. But..... in the case of Roseanne for me, it is an ensemble cast. Why not produce a spin-off the way Fraser was from Cheers etc? It worked. In this case, it is slightly different in that the location would be the same. But, I think with careful thought, I think it could be possible.

Although I never cared for Roseanne, I always enjoyed the rest of the cast. Too bad they’re all out of a job now. Except Sara Gilbert has The Talk show.

Fox will probably pick up the show for the rest of the run or at least hire her as a "news" commentator. They think that racism is really NBD.

Tuned in tonight to watch an episode before it was gone forever and evidently it is already gone forever because an episode of The Middle was on instead. I kind of liked the show. I can’t stand Roseanne Barr as a person, but I thought the show brought up some interesting points of discussion. Roseanne is certainly right up Fox’s alley. Her tweet was so obnoxious, I wonder how Fox could spin taking her on.

If we are going to show outrage against racism, let us talk about black on black violence in Chicago.To this date, it remains a high crime area , a city with the highest crime rate, and now the Mayor is turning his back on the Chicago PD, a child sleeping in a crib is shot in a drive by shooting, can you imagine that. I have lived there and seen the devastation first hand and it is heartbreaking.

Same Chicago where a group of black teens kidnapped and tortured a white autistic boy and CNN's Don Lemon ( our expert on racism) said " I don't think it's evil, I don't think it's evil. I think these are young people , and I think they have bad home training", so he wasn't giving them a pass. Black on white crime is acceptable, how many people have become victims to the knockout game? There was no outrage, no marches, nothing,

What about Planned parenthood which to this day is celebrating Margaret Sanger , targeting young black women and black communities just yesterday it was revealed that they secretly performed abortions on 12-13 year olds , who have been abused and sent them back to the abuser.

Then comes Voter ID, many claim it's racist, they say Blacks do not know how to get one , if that isn't that bigotry, then what is.

If we are going to talk about ABC values what about this - ABC hired Victor Salva, a convicted child molester, who served 15 months in jail for molesting a boy aged 8-12 years and videotaped it to direct the film "powder"

Selective outrage has become a norm.

Another One of ABC/Disney high standards -
Brain Peck worked on Disney show The Suite Life of Zack & Cody in 2006-07 despite being convicted of sex crimes against a boy aged under 16 just two years earlier.

Yes, let us keep talking about how ABC is going to revive the Roseanne show and how we should all support ABC and other media networks and not call them on their double standards.

If you cannot recognize the double standard , then you are part of the problem.

Racism is bad so they fired Roseanne. Hiring convicted child molesters is great for business.
