we are planning a stone on side of garage with some tan, grey, white, my front door will most likely be black( or SW iron ore) white beams to front porch with more stone.

Garage options. Wood tone to try to match a tone on the fron peak

2) white and possilly a wood pergola above

3 white door with wood or black ?gables in peaks

If you have a window in the forward facing gable above the garage that provides natural light inside the garage, then solid garage door (s) -- with door(s) and frame painted the same color as the siding (to make it visually disappear in order to leave the front entry the focal point of your new home) works; however if you have no natural light entering your garage, consider a garage door with a row of windows at the top. Arbor optional -- live without it a while; could be added later.

A wood door to match the underside of the front entry gable and any front entry posts would work equally well -- and you could try for the same look on any arbor. I actually prefer natural wood to painted, especially where stone is being added.

Really nice large yard. Look forward to your posts as you begin to landscape.

Well it turned out DH read the sign at the bottom of the street wrong and it was not the next door neighbor's house but one further up the street. We all walked up there, including DH, DS and dog. Tip to self: Don't take DH with me next time. What a pill he was, "we don't need that, we are suppose to be saving money not spending it" etc. DS and the dog were more fun and we met a lot of the neighbors we hadn't seen in awhile. We all live on 2-5 acres so don't see each other much. And it turned out to be estate sale because the very old man (90 YO maybe) who lived there had a stroke and was going to a nursing home. He pretty much kept to himself and only met him once maybe in 22 years. The wife was nice but she died 5 or more years ago. I wanted to buy some of her watercolors of the yacht harbor but that was when DH started going on and on about money, and where would we hang it, blah, blah blah. Most all of the good stuff was gone by the time we got there in the afternoon except for the watercolors. It was kind of sad too to see someone's life laid out for everyone to pick through. Clare

Yes, I'm already thinking of getting rid of the bifolds. We got rid of them in our current house, too. I'm not sure about the ceiling height; that would definitely be a limiting factor. I'm not sure what you mean by "needing" the laundry closet. The laundry needs to stay in that space, and my only potential reconfiguration option is to stack. Or do you mean knocking down the enclosure part that makes it closet-shaped? We did that in our current home to make a built-in mudroom space, and I love it. We'd consider doing that again (though no room for built-in mudroom... it's just the washer/dryer recessed next to the hallway, with some hooks on the wall). There is a door to that hallway (which only has the w/d and a door to outside), so we don't need the closet doors for noise mitigation. This space is not a priority, so we won't be making big changes. We need to update our bathroom and kitchen. My husband can DIY anything we do to the laundry area.

Terrible picture of new stools.... they are functioning fine but I'm not sure they're "THE" stools. I do have a bit if space so it's not totally necessary that they tuck under, if that makes sense. I do like that my girls can easily climb onto them... but backs might be nice too. I had some girlfriends over this week. My new kitchen functioned just how I hoped! We all surrounded the island and chatted for hours :) 2 friends whose opinions I value thought the wood on new bar stools was too dark and I should go lighter or maybe even white. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Big box stores have very limited options. I got some door sweeps and a threshold from Trademark Hardware on line. I needed help with an Interior door where the furnace lived and an exterior people door from the garage. Our front entrance door seal was fine so I don't have much insight to offer for that. I phoned them. I didn't know the correct terminology to search their website. Results were perfect.
