What dremel/rotary drill bit for 'hollowing out' wood?

What specific type of rotary bit (material, size, shape...) would you recommend for hollowing out the bottom of a pinewood derby car? This is very soft wood, and I need to hollow/carve out about 1/4" to 1/2" deep, similar to what is seen in the pics below. Doesn't have to be as neat/perfect, just need something to take out much of the wood.

I'm seeing so many different kinds of bits, from structured tooth tungsten carbide to coarse tungsten cones and balls to dremel high speed cutters, burrs, etc... and I'm so confused :(

I found a cheap (well rated) 40 grit burr kit, but not sure if that's 'course' enough...

I have a Wen rotary tool, works with 1/8" shaft, just like dremel.

Thanks for your thoughts!
