Thats interesting Linda that you hear the pump turning on and off. I don't hear anything from mine. Are they done with everything and is it all cemented in? You should have a decent holding area with them driling down 445 feet. I can tell when the pump is coming on with my well only when I am watering cause the pressure of the water coming out changes. My well is about 280 feet deep and I think it takes about 15 minutes for me to go through that 280 foot storage area at which time the pump comes on. On a related subject, my mom, sister and I were playing around on the computer last night and we tried googling our names. I came up with various threads on gardenweb. One of them was in connection with my new well that had been drilled and advice I was seeking. It was interesting to read that thread again. Bestyears, I hope you don't mind the hijack ... Oceanna, sorry to hear the grout dye didn't last. I have a similar prob in my entry, kitchen, bath & back hallway. The grout is a taupe color, but after 20 years the grout is varying degrees of brown ... lighter in the front hall and much darker in areas of the kitchen. In other words - dirty! I got a quote a couple years ago from a grout cleaning co and they quoted over $900.00! A few months ago I tried again to clean it and found a system that looks like it will get it back to close to the original color but I used white vinegar and I've since read that is an acid and can cause grout problems down the road. So far, the area I did seems to be fine. I don't see any changes. My plan is to clean it all this way (sometime in the near future ...) and then seal it really well. The grout was not sealed when it was installed.

Realrose, that's exactly what I was thinking of using it for. Not so much cutting up big tiles, but shaping and softening the smaller pieces. I'll be very curious to know how that works for you. The bits are $10 each, so I didn't want to buy one without checking to see if anyone has experience with it. Calamity, I'm curious about your tile saw. The only one I've seen in action is the one our "tile friend" has used when he's done work on our house. It's hooked up to a hose, looks like a table saw and makes a big mess. Though, I could do what he does and set it up outside, I'm wondering if what you're referring to is something different? I checked them out on Amazon and they seemed to have some smaller ones that might go on a table top. I'd love to know what you work with.
