New Nubs on Trunk and Auxiliary Branch of Fiddle Leaf Fig

L T

I noticed a few nubs on the (very thin) trunk and on one auxiliary branch of my 9' fiddle leaf fig. Might these grow to become branches with additional leaves? Rather than wait and find out, my impatience is bringing me to this board to ping you all. :)

Note that the trunk gets a decent amount of north-facing light. The leaves at the tippy top get only an hour or two of sunlight through the skylights, but the lower leaves do get some light through the northeast window (we don't have a window that faces south or west). I'm wondering if these nubs are showing up because there's more light down yonder?
