Removing Stains Caused by Stain Removers - Carpet
Comments (6)The product I swear by for stains in upholstery and carpets is called Folex. I have taken red wine, orange pop, pizza sauce and lipstick out of both carpet and sofa in the kids' rumpus room. I bought some for work and we removed vomit stain from the seat of one of the tour buses with no effort. I buy it at Canadian Tire and Home Hardware in Canada. I'm not sure who else might carry it....See MoreNeed to remove grease stain from granite
Comments (18)That should work. If it doesn't try a poultice of plaster of paris and acetone. Cover with plastic wrap with blue tape around it until it's dry. Cover at least an inch around larger than the stain. When it's dry, the stain should be better, if not completely gone. If it's working, do it again until resolved. Found this answer here at Houzz. Our granite was sealed when it was installed, but we found that it stained easily. We resealed with Tenax Pro Seal after pulling the stain out. We haven't had a problem since....See MoreQuartzite not adequately sealed?
Comments (13)Thanks everyone for your advice. There are other issues with the installation, like significant cosmetic defects on the stone surface, edge profiles and fissures. We asked Home Depot for a refund, since the first fabricator was incompetent and the second one they referred to us to told us they can’t help as their company is not licensed to work in NC where we live. Home Depot said they can’t give us a refund until they come extract the countertop from our home. However, they have no one to do this work! You can’t make this stuff up! It’s the worst customer experience we’ve ever had. We’ve experienced extremely poor customer service and follow-up from the contractor and the local Home Depot store in Blairsville, Georgia. We are going to file a claim with our credit card company, the BBB and Home Depot corporate, as we’re not confident Home Depot will follow through with the refund....See MoreQuartzite- will acetone help to remove this type of staining?
Comments (13)@joseph_corlett I've seen you recommend Bernz-O-Matic a lot for quartzite stains, can you please elaborate more on which kind of stains this is or isn't recommended ? (Like what stains it could make worse)...See MoreRelated Professionals
