Comments (15)Carol - 2 systemic miticides are very efficient - and not as poisonous as Avid -it is Forbid and Pylon. Pylon is excellent for thrips as well - but it is very expensive and has a shelf life of 3 years. So -if you do not have them - do not waste your money. You can always buy it fresh as needed. I dragged my mites from AVSA in Raleigh. Why I think that Aniketa needs to restart the yucky plant - because no matter what she does - it will look horrible and distorted for a year- and if she restarts from a leaf - she will have new blooming plants in 6 months. I. PS Linda - I would say - if you are not as lazy as I - spray it twice. Irina And I sprayed everything with Pylon that was old....See MoreThe largest African Violet which I have now is
Comments (1)Hi, Vicki, I don't have this, but you can find it at Rob's Violet website. It is one of his wife's hybrids. He states that standards usually grow 10-12 inches. If you read the first paragraph under standards, you'll find out what you want to know. Be forewarned, there is a lot of good stuff there! Comments (3)In my experience, you can have single and double flowers on the same plant. It usually blooms with double flowers, but the flowers were singles in one cycle. I just checked it, and right now it has mostly doubles, but I did see a single. The blooms on my Mac's Exquisite Extravaganza are usually single, but I see a double bloom on it right now, along with the singles. I think, without any great certainty, that the single pansy type of bloom usually blooms true as a single. Does your plant have a name, or is it a NOID?...See Morefortyseven_gw
