What an irresistible, frothy confection of a rose. Is there any speculation of what it might possibly be? It reminds me somewhat of Souvenir d'un Ami.

No clue. The person who originally found it now believes it's more likely to be an early HT than a Tea Rose --

It seems to prefer a coastal climate, rather than hot inland (Yeah for me!). My friend Holly has one a few years old, and it could be 12 x 12 if she let it.

I counted 106 petals on that fully-opened bloom.

It's disease- free for me.

Wow! That's the kind of rose that launches a thousand ships. It looks like a cross between September Morn and an antique peony. Dare I ask? Does it smell as good as it looks? Carol

I honestly don't know. I have so little sense of smell, I often forget to check. Cass noted "moderate tea fragrance".
