Let's see. Hubby's birthday is this week and I scored a free room for two nights at Harvey's South Lake Tahoe with a view of the lake. I can't really take credit though. I get this free offer twice a year ever since I signed up for their rewards program. I always take them up on the offer if we're not busy with something else and we always have a great time.

Other than that, our local market sent out some great coupons a month or so ago. Each week a different coupon is valid and then expires at the end of the week. For the life of me, I haven't been able to remember to use those darn coupons until finally last week. Got a 12 pack of toilet paper for free!

Also, I've been working on a new flower bed and needed some sort of border to hold the soil back. After looking at what's available at the nurseries and DIY stores and seeing nothing that appealed to me, I went down the road and gathered all the boulders I wanted for free to use as my border.

I needed every day tee shirts and I like ones that say something or have a design. We were at Academy sports and they had a great selection of very good quality tee shirts on sale for $4.99 each. Some were for Coastal Conservation which is a great cause so double bonus and the pictures on them were very nice. I picked up 4 or 5. And I got some really nice capris at Costco for $9 and some French Terry leggings that are extremely comfortable for the same price. I am slowly building up a bit of a wardrobe. Hubby got a few pairs of cargo shorts there too.

I went to CVS and got 3 items (with my manufacturer coupons) 2-full size, one smaller and my total was $4.75. I walked out of there with $3.25 in CVS Extra Bucks! I consider that kind of free....

Hot water bottle broke a while back. I had $10 bonus bucks at Walgreens, even though I had to return the items I received them for (face cream combo, gave me a rash) the bonus bucks stayed. After applying them the hot water bottle cost $1.90.

Someone we know gave us gently used pet gear easy steps she no longer has a need for when I mentioned I was going to purchase some for our elderly kitty.

Lowe's smallish herbs were $4 each, same size at the local, independently owned nursery was half that. So we now have a nice little herb garden for less than $20 while supporting a local business. Win/win.

Nicole, pretty bed. But the sheets get Mama's stamp of awesomely white. Haha
