For most pests like this, I like to spray with a 50/50 mix of rubbing alcohol & water. BTW, the name you have for your plant is using 2 species names, whereas it should be just one. Also, my guess is your plant is really Haworthia 'Grey Ghost' (it does not use a species name), a variegated cultivar of Haworthia retusa. You will find at least 6 different species/names on the web. Of course, a photo would help confirm this thought. :)

Hi, all I have used Garden Web for years for remodeling, never thought to use it for quilting/sewing. I am widowed now, and have 2 bedrooms, one slightly larger than 11x15, serves as a sewing room/guest room. Currently, I have a duplex bed w/frame taking up lots of wall space. My family are all out-of-state and can't visit very often. Perhaps once a year single or couple friends visit. Bed is used only occasionally. I have inflatable queen and twin size mattresses (a couple of years ago, had the family down for Christmas). I'm trying to decide whether to a) lose the bed and rely on inflatables; b) trade the bed for a double or queen-size bed which would gain some wall space, or c) deal with what I have. The room will be repainted soon; there's a very pleasant view outside the window, so the sewing machine stays there. Opposite the window wall is a closet, and a small wicker vanity on a short wall. A wicker dresser (partly seen in pic) and the entry door is opposite the bed wall. I'm left handed, so it's cut, stitch, press; from left to right. I'm looking for a better table/cabinet solution for the area, but this works for now. I'd love room for a 36" cutting table.

But this time, I need something a bit (Just a bit) more modern. I'll check out the other Barbara Michaels, but they don't sound "traditionally ghostly" enough. I have to admit either GHOST or EIFFEL since both are clear have a modern look and Mid Century Modern look - i think that is the term. My place is sadly cluttered (clothes horse and gift aholic). That being said I guess the issues are which in your expert minds do you like or think would look best and we need to consider how difficult they are to set up. EIffel is looking harder. I was leaning to the Eiffel which is the de rigeur everyone from Walmart to Costco to Structube have versions. And you need to know I did my place on the "cheap" - my $12000 leather living room set was for like $2500; I have $4000 coffee/end tables for under $1000, a $3000 piece of art coffee table for 300; a stainless steel bed that was $7000 for $800 and bench I made with 90 dollar Ikea legs for $8. So I am not going to pay much for these chairs maybe $70 Canadian. Eiffel would be cheaper but like $5 per chair from what I can see so far.
